🌟 Meet the Cast of Skipton Musical Theatre Company’s Little Shop of Horrors 🌟

Orin (The Dentist) – Played by K.Ellis

This is a show that’s been on K’s bucket list forever. As a huge fan of the film, he’s more than a little obsessed with it! So when the opportunity came along to be part of this production, he simply had to give it a go—otherwise, he’d always be left wondering, what if?
This is K’s first show with SMTC, and he’s been made to feel so welcome and supported. As he puts it, “It’s been boss!”
K has appeared in productions across the UK, most recently playing Chuck in Footloose with Keighley MTC. Some of his favourite roles include George Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life, Mr Briggs in Our Day Out, Donkey in Shrek, Warner in Legally Blonde, and Willie Lopez in Ghost—along with many, many more. He loves every part of the process and the opportunity to bring a character from the page to life on stage.

Mr. Mushnik – Played by Martin McCulley

Martin is delighted to be taking on the role of the wonderfully grumpy and increasingly stressed Mr. Mushnik in SMTC’s production of Little Shop of Horrors.

Last year, he was also lucky enough to fulfil a dream role by playing Shrek in SMTC’s production of Shrek The Musical.

He’s thrilled to be back with such a fantastic cast and crew and would like to thank his family, friends and everyone at SMTC for their continued support.

Audrey- Played by Olivia Walmsley

Olivia is delighted to be performing in this wonderfully chaotic musical as the sweet but unfortunate Audrey.

This is Olivia’s second show with Skipton Musical Theatre Company, having previously appeared in Oliver!. She is so excited to be back with her theatre family for this fantastic musical and to take on such an iconic character.

Seymour Krelborn- Played by Neil Wilnes

Neil is delighted to be taking on the iconic role of Seymour in SMTC’s production of Little Shop of Horrors.

This marks Neil’s fourth consecutive production with Skipton Musical Theatre, having previously appeared in Calendar Girls, received fantastic feedback for his portrayal of Fagin in Oliver!, and most recently brought plenty of personality to the Big Bad Wolf in Shrek The Musical. He is also proud to serve as Chair of SMTC and is passionate about supporting the company both on and off the stage.

Neil would like to thank the production team, cast, crew, and his husband Richard, family and friends for their continued love and support. He hopes you enjoy the show… and whatever you do, don’t feed the plant!

Skipton Musical Theatre Company is beginning the exciting search for a Director and Musical Director to help bring our upcoming productions in 2027 and 2028 to life.

We’re looking for creative, enthusiastic theatre-makers who can inspire performers, collaborate with our dedicated production team and help us create memorable shows for both our members and audiences.

Whether you’re an experienced director, an accomplished MD, or someone ready to take the next step in your theatrical journey, we’d love to hear about your ideas, experience and the kind of theatre that gets your creative gears whirring! Applicants are welcome to express interest in either role individually.

While we are initially looking ahead to our 2027 and 2028 productions, we would love this to become the beginning of a longer-term creative relationship, should the partnership prove to be the right fit for everyone.
