My good friend Theo Andreou has just published his first book ‘Temple of God, an Unbroken Vision of the Virgin Mary’, for which he commissioned me to make an illustration based on an illuminated manuscript illustrating the risen Christ trampling on Hades and blessing a personified Zion, understood by tradition to symbolise the church, and typologically related to the Virgin Mary.
