Want to perform with Phoenix Productions Shropshire?

We are holding our very first open company audition night and ALL are welcome! Whether you sing, act, dance or all three, we would love to see what you can do.

Date: Thursday 6th August
Time: 19:00 - Group dance workshop starts at 19:15
Venue: The Brooklands, Meole Brace, SY3 9JT

The evening will include social time, an open bar, and a fun relaxed audition process consisting of a short group dance workshop, a little bit of singing (if you want to!) and some reading. Nothing too scary, we promise! (There might even be sweets....)

Please note that completing this audition process is a requirement for all performers wishing to become a Performing Friend of Phoenix and take to the stage in our productions.

And Then There Were None - Audition Registrations Are Open!

Phoenix Productions Shropshire is excited to announce audition registrations for our first major production, Agatha Christie's classic mystery thriller, And Then There Were None.

Ten strangers, one island, and secrets that won't stay buried. We're looking for actors to help bring this twisty, tension filled story to the stage, and we'd love for you to be part of it!

Break a leg (just maybe not an arm, Evan's already done that one for you...), Curtain Call Studios

We're so excited for our friends at Curtain Call Theatre Company, who bring the incredible musical Dear Evan Hansen to Theatre Severn this weekend! With an amazing cast and unforgettable music, this is shaping up to be one of the most exciting productions of the season.

The Phoenix team will be heading along to watch too and we can't wait!

Meet the team! Introducing our Artistic Associate, Laura Rebecca Davies .

Laura is the epitome of an excited theatre kid who simply grew into an excited theatre adult, and honestly, we love that energy for us.

She has been part of the Shropshire theatre scene for over 30 years and, more recently, has built a career as a professional concert singer. Naturally, that made her an easy choice to bring on board, especially for our charity concert ventures, an area she genuinely knows inside out.

By day Laura is Managing Director of local recruitment business Marshall Harmony, but theatre has always been her real love. She trained at East 15 Acting School, went on to complete Estill voice training, and qualified as a registered LCM Musical Theatre teacher, gaining an LLCM in Musical Theatre along the way. She has performed with companies across the county and beyond, organised charity concerts, and has recently started her own directing journey too.

Given her background, Laura is taking the lead on our charity concerts, and we could not think of anyone better suited to it. There is something very exciting in the pipeline that we cannot wait to share very soon!

Phoenix Productions Shropshire is the county's newest theatrical production company, and we're officially launching this summer. Whether you dream of being on stage, love working behind the scenes, or just want to get involved as a volunteer — this is your invitation.

Our Launch Night/Summer social is a relaxed, no-pressure evening where you can find out who we are and what we're planning, learn how to get involved (performing, crew, backstage, front-of-house and more), hear about our upcoming productions, our vision for the future, and chat with the team and fellow theatre lovers over a drink or two.

No experience is necessary, just talent, a passion for theatre and a willingness to give it a go. The event is open to anyone aged 16 and over from all backgrounds.

If you haven't already filled in our Expression of Interest form, we'd really appreciate you taking a few minutes to do so beforehand . It helps us get to know you a little ahead of time! And if you've already filled it in, thank you so much. Either way, please don't let the form stop you from coming along — everyone is welcome on the night.
