Rebecca’s goal wasn’t to have completely different brows. She simply wanted to enhance what she already had.

Together, we created a bespoke soft ombré powder brow to add a little more definition, improve the shape and restore some fullness, whilst still looking beautifully natural.

Notice how her eyes appear more lifted, her features more balanced and her face brighter, yet her brows still look like her brows.

This is exactly what Permanent Makeup should do.

The results will gradually soften as they heal and typically last around 18–24 months before a colour boost is recommended.

One of the questions I’m asked most often is …

“Will they stay this dark?”

The simple answer is … no.

Permanent Makeup is designed to soften as it heals. The aim isn’t to create brows that look tattooed, it’s to create brows that look like they’ve always belonged to you.

These brows are fully healed, giving a soft, natural result that simply adds shape and definition where it was needed.

Every client heals slightly differently, which is why Permanent Makeup is completed over two appointments. Your first appointment allows us to create the shape and establish the colour. Six weeks later, I see how your skin has healed before making any refinements at your perfection appointment.

It’s a much gentler, safer approach than trying to achieve the finished result in one session.

What happens at a PMU consultation?

Permanent makeup is a treatment you’ll wear every day. It deserves more than a quick conversation, it deserves a proper consultation.

One thing that makes my clinic a little different is that I invite every new PMU client in for a bespoke consultation before we agree for treatment to go ahead.

This appointment is designed to ensure cosmetic tattooing is the right treatment for you and that it can be carried out safely.

During your consultation we’ll discuss:

✨ Your current brows and the look you’d like to achieve
✨ Your medical history, medications and any factors that may affect healing or pigment retention
✨ Your lifestyle, expectations and desired outcome
✨ Any concerns or questions you may have about the treatment

It’s also an opportunity for us to meet in person, make sure we’re on the same page and ensure you feel completely comfortable before making a decision.

If you choose to go ahead, we’ll then book your treatment appointment.

On treatment day, we’ll complete a much more in-depth consultation before we begin. This includes reviewing your consultation form, selecting a pigment that’s perfectly suited to your skin tone, complexion and natural hair colour, before creating a completely bespoke brow map. I never use stencils, every set of brows is individually designed around your facial features, natural brow growth and personal preferences.

Only when we’re both completely happy with the agreed shape, colour and treatment plan do we begin the procedure.

I truly believe consultations lead to safer treatments, better communication and more beautiful, natural results.

🌞 A little summer reminder for all my brow clients

It’s been lovely to see some sunshine over the last few days (although, this is England … so who knows how long it’ll last 🤣)

If you’ve invested in PMU, one of the best things you can do to keep them looking beautiful is protect them from the sun.

Over time, UV exposure can cause brow pigment to fade more quickly, meaning your colour may soften sooner than expected.

A few simple ways to help protect your brows this summer:

☀️ Apply a broad-spectrum SPF to the brow area every day
🧢 Wear a hat or sunglasses if you’re spending long periods outdoors
🏖️ Avoid prolonged sun exposure, especially during the hottest part of the day
💧 Keep your skin hydrated to support overall skin health

Think of SPF as part of your brow aftercare … not just during healing, but all year round.

Your brows are an investment and a little extra care now will help keep them looking fresher for longer.

Enjoy what’s left of the sunshine, stay safe and fingers crossed we get a little more of it this summer 💕
