PHASE ONE ANNOUNCEMENT!! 🫟 No Bounds 2026 // 9-11th October 2026 // Multiple Venues, Sheffield + Rotherham 👽🛸 [LIMITED EARLY BIRDS ON SALE NOW!! 💸]

No Bounds Festival returns on 9-11th October 2026 for a special edition that takes us back to our raw, grassroots, rave-fuelled genesis. But not just that, we fold elements of the future into our latest weekend of radical joy and relentless curiosity. 🔉🧨

After 2025’s hugely successful festival, where we said goodbye to our beloved home, Hope Works, going fully nomadic, we continue our restless explorations as we build towards our huge 10th birthday celebrations in 2027. 🥳💞

Across 10 venues in Sheffield and Rotherham, expect warehouse-rattling sonic explorations, boundary-pushing live performances, huge immersive experiences, and mind-melting moments, unfolding through a soul-nourishing programme of parties, all-dayers, happenings, exhibitions, and talks.💥💣

We have numerous special performances from gyrofield’s live UK premiere to Anz b2b Commodo and South Yorkshire’s Blawan (Live), via 96 Back’s new live show, Mark Fell returning to the stage with a solo live show and Max Cooper delivering his incredible immersive 3D/AV spectacular. 🎆✨💻

From the dancefloor to community spaces, No Bounds 2026 celebrates the power of adventurous music, art and collaborative experiences, reconnecting with the energy, curiosity and DIY spirit that started it all, and still powers our hearts. 🫂💙🛠️

See you soon, we cannot wait to share this beautiful weekend with you all!! 😘🥰

Huge congratulations to for his impeccably researched new book on the history of indecent music in Sheffield. Out now via

We love Dan’s writing, and his curiosity, diligence and and love of the scene in Sheffield has birthed this essential new book. It really is a MUST read for anyone interested in the Sheffield scene, it’s also got a couple of pages featuring our director

We will be celebrating this new work at No Bounds 2026 (coming soon👀) but for now, we urge you to go and buy a copy. If you’re in Sheffield today he’s got a book launch at tonight from 7pm with some great DJ’s and loads of local heads popping down.

See you all soon…this is a big day, not just local elections, but the celebration of the most definitive piece of writing to date specifically about the Sheffield Music scene, from to Jive Turkey, via and …..it’s so detailed and informative about so many aspects of music culture here.❤️❤️❤️

Looking back at No Bounds 2025: Grit & Graft, we’re filled with gratitude for all the wonderful, life-affirming moments we shared together. 💞

This year was different. It was the first No Bounds Festival without our beloved Hope Works, and the first edition fully in nomad mode. While we felt the loss of not raving at our spiritual home, we also found a new horizon to reach for. A new way to explore our wider spiritual home of South Yorkshire.

In 2025, we crossed a bridge toward even greater freedom, deeper community, and a wider reach. We did what we said we would: channel all our passion, energy, and love from Hope Works into No Bounds moving forward and together, we achieved that and more, in our biggest edition yet.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting us and for coming with us on this journey exploring life through music and hybrid arts, rooted in our home while welcoming the world in. We are global and we are local - not mutually exclusive, but intertwined, just like human complexity itself.

Our mission remains unchanged since we began in 2017: to build an internationally significant festival in South Yorkshire that supports and nurtures our own artists and creatives, while inspiring and celebrating the best worldwide talent we can find.

Huge love and thanks to all the incredible artists, curators, venues, and production teams we worked with in 2025. We can’t wait for 2026 - stay close, as we’ll be sharing more very soon.

Until then, here are a few more moments from No Bounds 2025 to remember what went down.

See you all in 2026.

It fills us with great sadness to hear of the passing of Ken Downie, one of the three original founding members of The Black Dog, formed in 1989 - Warp originals and Sheffield legends whose work helped define the early 90’s era of Warp Records and influenced countless other artists.

We have worked with The Black Dog for many years, and throughout that time their practice has consistently impressed us as much for its conceptual depth as for its versatility. Their work exists far beyond performance alone: immersive, architectural, and deeply human.

From swimming baths to cathedrals to warehouse clubs, they transformed spaces into sites of sonic inquiry, always delivering richly detailed worlds with integrity, curiosity, and passion.

Ken’s contribution to electronic music - and to The Black Dog’s enduring, future-facing vision - will remain profoundly influential to us and to the wider cultural landscape. His ideas are woven into the fabric of No Bounds Festival and will continue to resonate with us into the future.

We send our heartfelt condolences to Ken’s family, friends, and collaborators at this time. He will be missed greatly.

With Love 🖤

We’re still pinching ourselves after the most incredible experience in Rotherham two weeks ago today, for the Sunday programme of No Bounds 2025. 💞🦀

Curated by Mark Fell & Rian Treanor, the day brought together talks, workshops, performances and food across three venues and ended with our traditional closing concert, this time at Rotherham Minster.🌀

Rian Treanor & Bianca Scout’s dance project with pupils from Clifton Community School opened the day at R.O.A.R Westgate with pure magic - a life-enhancing premiere filled with young talent, energy & heart. Huge thanks to Chera & the Clifton team for supporting this special collaboration.🔮✨

At ROAR Grove Road (Hope Centre), the atmosphere was electric and communal - like a music, art and dialogue-drenched soup kitchen 🍲. Momma Arab’s incredible Yemeni food was served free for everyone after our Art, Culture & Solidarity in Times of Injustice talk with Terre Thaemlitz & Rotherham Friends of Palestine.🎙️🇵🇸

Signal Sounds hosted a drop-in for families to explore electronic instruments, Rashad Becker’s workshop inspired all, Outlands gathered brilliant voices from the UK experimental arts community. Sets from RP Boo, Beatrice Dillon, & Mat Steele lit up the room - with a surprise performance from one of Electronic Music Club’s young Rotherham DJs. 🎹🎛️🔊🔥

As evening fell, we moved to Rotherham Minster, where Rai’s performance on Shinobue, Shakuhachi & Irish flute (with Koshiro Hino on FX) mesmerised us all, followed by the full splendour of Kakuhan & Rai. Then came Rotherham Sight & Sound - an unforgettable performance that ended with a long, heartfelt standing ovation. 🎻🎼🙌

Finally, NZO reset the space beautifully for Rainy Miller, whose intimate performance of Joseph, What Have You Done? left the audience completely still - a true outer-body moment.🛸💫

Thank you to everyone who made this day possible, especially Arts Council England, Mark Fell, Rian Treanor, Flux, Rotherham Music, R.O.A.R., Rotherham Friends of Palestine, Rotherham Minster & to children’s Capital Of Culture for including the festival in their Autumn programme.🙏
