Made a comment on a post a PT put up about their client working on depth with the clients max weight. My comment were not bitchy, just stated that surely a better option would be to work on depth before adding weight.

Shocking how bad the quality of PTs has got.

This fella hits the nail bang on.

Push was on the menu tonight, with an emphasis on shoulders. Your shoulders can never be too big, right?

Smith machine shoulder press, bringing the bar down to the upper pecs. The top portion of the rep shifts the load onto the triceps.

No muscle in the body responds better to one rep range than a other. Science data shows that you can grow in any rep range from 5 to 30, provided you get close to failure. It's fine to do higher reps,but you're more likely to burn out due to latic acid build-up and CNS fatigue. Higher volume workouts take longer to recover from. It's all about effective reps, those last few of a set, so why do a gazillion of reps get there first?

Don't get sucked in by the time under tension craps. It's all about mechanical tension,which is achieved by being in control of the weight.

Flat DB Press x 2
Lying Cable Laterals x 2
Cable Fly.x 2
DB Raises x 2
Triceps Ext x 2

Motivation will only get you so far, but discipline will get you to your end goal.

Could have quite easily come straight home from work tonight,but still went to the gym. I felt tired and lethargic but had a great workout.

Up 1 rep on RDL top and back off sets, up on leg curls, up on leg press too.

Don't let your feelings become your excuses.

Quitting kills every dream it touches.

Remember, it's a privilege to be able to workout.

Friday leg day. Starting of the next rotation, nice and fresh after a rest day yesterday. Replaced Safety bar squats with the smith for the last couple of weeks. Why? Allows me to shift the feet a little further forward, giving me more knee flexion.

Aiming for deep reps on the squats and leg press.
