Exciting News Alert…

Following on from the installation of the trail maps we are proud to announce that we have plans to start a monthly Arts Market, starting in Saturday 7th March 2026!

The market will take place in the space underneath the studios at LightHouse View Workspace… think Tynemouth Market in Seaham…

Did you know CreativePop created one of the five hidden doors in this rather fabulous maze!?

Beautiful maze freshly cut. Traquair Maze was planted in 1981 with 1500 leylandi cypress trees. Sadly two thirds died the following winter in freezing temperature so was replanted with beech.
20 years later the maze was fully grown and is now Scotland’s largest hedged maze. Last year we added 5 ‘hidden doors’ to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

3 years ago we moved into this amazing space… now known as Shoreside Studios… we have spent that time, building a community in the space, supporting one of the artists hosting a first exhibition and providing artist support sessions with the help of our friends at Create North… we’ve worked on some of our own pop-up projects and have some pieces we are proud of scattered around various venues… it seems fitting that it’s this weekend that we have some news about the next steps for us!

CreativePop started out as to fellow artists who wanted to collaborate and show everyone that art can exist anywhere through our pop-up workshops, projects and installations… we soon grew with the notion of raising the profile of the arts, working with and supporting other artists to be part of this and of putting the arts scene is Seaham on the map… and Shoreside Arts - Seaham was born!

We have developed a studio community, brought the Shoreside Arts Trail… soon to be permanent and Shoreside Festival to Seaham as well as arts markets on Terrace Green and now we have plans for how we can take all of this to the next level.

We've been working hard behind the scenes updating the Shoreside Trail map, getting it print ready so we can have the information boards made to order... watch this space as we hope to be sharing some installation news soon!

We’ve been a little quiet on here for a while… but we are back and we have some great news!

Thanks to a grant from Seaham Town Council and the new councillors from Seaham Conmunity Party… we will be bringing back our Shoreside Art Trail… and what’s even better is it will be becoming a permanent feature!!

Shoreside Studios… based at LighthouseView in Seaham this shared space is home to several artists already, including CreativePop… with space for more artists too! As well as a fantastic gallery and workshop space.
