Saying goodbye to my neighbour, Jeremy, today.

Jeremy was a kind and encouraging presence in my life here in North Ayrshire. We would often meet while I was working in the garden or around the building, and he always had a kind word, a little encouragement, and usually, “God bless” and “I’ll pray for you.”

Today I learned that when Jeremy said he would pray for someone, he really did — he kept a journal of the people he was praying for.

I also learned more about the many sides of his life: he was a pianist, a writer, a man of deep faith and a much-loved friend to many people.

I made these flowers for him as my small goodbye.

Rest in peace, Jeremy. You will be missed. 🦋

SYLVIA — Summer on the Waverley

A little music video I filmed and edited across several Waverley sailings around Scotland, set to Sylvia — a song I wrote and recorded for my album Songs for My Friends and One Enemy.

The Loft Saltcoats is increasingly becoming a home for my creative experiments — bringing together art, film, music and an appreciation of the places and landscapes around Scotland.

I hope you enjoy the video — and as the Loft grows, I hope you’ll join me for filming and creative workshops in Saltcoats in the future.

This little film is a preview of the storytelling and filmmaking workshops planned at The Loft Collective in Saltcoats. Together, we’ll create characters, tell stories inspired by the Scottish coast, and bring them to life through film.

“Song for My Friends” by Agnes Prygiel, filmed in 2025 at Ardencraig Gardens on the Isle of Bute, Scotland, completed in 2026, is an audiovisual piece inspired by the colours and atmosphere of this Victorian garden. It is a quiet reflection on beauty, community and mental wellbeing.

The song, written and performed by Agnes Prygiel, recorded in 2019, is brought together here with her visual work, uniting her , film and travel into a single piece.
