It’s officially summer as we’re in the middle of a heatwave 🥵🌞

So I wrote a little poem about all the summer icks we have to endure as Brits.

Warning: you may laugh, cringe… or realise you’re guilty of a few yourself 👀

How quickly everything can change 🤍

This poem came from that quiet longing for the simplest things like a cup of tea in the garden, the kind of ordinary moment you don’t realise is precious until it’s gone.

From my book *Where Has She Gone* 🤍

I wrote a poem last year called Through the layers, referring to how families change over time and that we all move up the ladder of hierarchy. Turning it into a song has brought it to life in a way I didn’t expect! 😍

I paired it with family photos—especially because so much has changed in my family in the last five years. Looking back at those moments hits differently now.

I genuinely love how this sounds as a song. Please, please let me know what you think. It’s so exciting to have a bit of fun with my writing.

Thank you so much 🤍

Getting to listen to your poem being played out on the radio well it’s just mind blowing.

Thank you and for including me in the campaign. Even if I did get to listen to it with my annoying kids who just kept laughing - obviously keeping me grounded 🤪 cheeky sods.

Today Spark Radio next stop Stadium of light (please). Help me manifest 😁
