Morning Views
9/5/22 to 13/5/22
Getting picked up from work by my man, covered in clay: just how I like him…..
Our early morning rituals setting us up right for the day ahead. I’ll start by unpacking what’s come out of our kiln that morning and working out where each piece fits best on our stalls, whilst Ian spends his time calculating what pots we need more of, and which glaze they’ll be having. Coffee from and pastries from and we’re ready to go our separate ways: Ian back home to do more throwing and I’ll stay at the stall selling. To be happy in your work is a wonderful thing pics

When is a soap dish not a soap dish? When it’s a pen holder on your desk or a make up holder on your dressing table! They make good soap dishes as well. Made by Ang and available at our stall
Just packing up these goodies ready for Tuesday 8 till 3. The return of Ian’s ever popular salt pigs (or is that salt dogs?) and the rare sighting of another tea pot………
Today’s favourite stall view. Pic Handmade beauts by Ian You can’t beat functional ware for your considered home
More newness fresh from the kiln and straight onto our stall this morning. Ian’s been focusing on his green glaze for this firing. Plenty more vases and mugs for Valentines Day gifts. Just lovely handmade pots really.
Another fine firing by Ian. Getting ready for the weekend He’s made more of his faceted mugs for those who’ve been asking for them and extra dipping bowls to go with your ramen bowls. (We weren’t expecting to run out last week!) These will all be available from our stall Friday morning onwards. There’s also some large vases and jugs which would be great as Valentines’ gifts filled with flowers from and
Ian was busy over the holidays. It’s been a while since he made teapots but here they come ready for the weekend
We don’t usually do ‘sets’ of matching pots but this lot looked so good we couldn’t resist taking pics of them together. You can mix and match at the stall to suit what you’d like. Ian’s always making small dipping dishes in the same glaze as the larger bowls and Ang has bags of chop stick holders in every glaze so you create your own ramen set
Love scrolling through Instagram and coming across Ian’s pottery ‘in action’. This gorgeous pic and the lemon cheesecake are by Claire and Sarah It’s from their recipe book The Plant-Based Family Cookbook. Ian’s small plates are available from our stall
There’s been another full kiln unloaded ready for the weekend The bird feeders and hanging plant pots are waiting to be ‘stringed’ and ‘twigged’ by Ang (me) - that’ll be my creative input then! The large salad bowl is filled with a load of different patterned chop stick rests Ian’s made to mix and match with our ramen/rice bowls
First finished kiln firing of the year and all these beauts are now available exclusively at our stall We’re open every Tuesday and Friday 8 till 3, Saturday 8 till 4 and Sunday 10 till 4. We have new pots at the stall every week: browsers are more than welcome. It’s lovely to see the new additions mix and match with our existing stock
Back in action. A full mug board again on our stall We’re open Wednesday and Thursday 8 till 4. Christmas Eve 8 till 1 for last minute gifting ……

SELLING Time to say goodbye to our 1976 camper van. We’ve loved it, looked after it and in return it’s looked after us since it arrived from Australia 14 years ago. It’s been a great daily driver and has taken us on many European jaunts. For a lucky new owner, the open road awaits ...... DM if interested
