My Facebook account has been hacked and disabled!!😏 I've been patiently waiting with everything crossed in the hope that Facebook will reinstate my account and it's made me realise just how much I rely on my Facebook business page to share news and events about Montet Designs and how much I use it for chatting with people and groups about projects and events, and then how quickly it can just vanish, eek! Thank god I don't really use my personal page which could have been filled with a years of precious photos and memories!

I've managed to write this via the business suite which I've just realised I can still still get into, for now. But if I don't get my personal and business page back I will need to start a new account which won't really be great news😫

I can't share info on my workshops and events that are coming up this month and onwards so do check out my website for more info www.montetdesigns.co.uk and if you're on Instagram you can still find me there, which is weird as my accounts are linked! (a small blessing) https://www.instagram.com/montetdesigns/ so do go give me a follow 🙌 and hopefully in the very near future some lovely person from Meta will get it sorted for me if they'll ever reply to me 😁 And I'd advise any of you lovely peeps who haven't got all your security bits and pieces in place to go have a look and see what can be done 😘 Audrey x

My final workshop of the summer is on Wednesday! It'll be great to be back at Village&Co. in Wheathampsted to run two more sessions for adults and children. It's such a great space and a perfect location where you can enjoy all the other delights the village has to offer. It's the final week of the summer hols and as we start getting all the last minute bits together before the new term starts you may just be in need of a little bit of time out to get creative and enjoy some family time before the crazy busy term commences! Come see me at my stall on Sunday in the beautiful gardens of Reveley Lodge for the National Garden Scheme open day. The sun WILL be shining!! 😁 🌞🤞

Reveley Lodge National Garden Scheme Open Day: Sunday 6th August 1-5pm

We are opening our gardens for the National Garden Scheme to raise money for nursing and caring charities such as Marie Curie, Macmillan Cancer, Hospice UK and the Carers Trust.
We will have a range of arts, crafts and plant stalls, live jazz music and garden tours!
Refreshments include freshly made sandwiches and home baked cakes, teas and coffees and a licensed bar.
Tickets: Adults £5 and free entry for children. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

I'm currently in the early stages of planning a local public art mosaic piece which I'm super excited about and will reveal more when I can. This morning I've been looking over past projects for reference and it's been great to take some time looking at the design of a project I did in St Ives, Cambridgeshire which I can't believe was back in 2018! This was such a great project to work on with the fab team from The Norris Museum and the St Ives community. 4 panels depicting the history of the town and featuring amateur historian Herbert Ellis Norris himself. The Norris Museum is a great local museum and a lovely town to go and visit. I really enjoyed staying in the village while I ran the community sessions for the mosaic making. I really should get back there at some point to see the mosaics in situ!

Hey all you lovely peeps, I'll soon be off on my summer break so my kit shop will be closing for orders this Friday. If you're planning on getting any orders put in this will need to be done by midday Friday and I'll get them shipped out before I go off 😎 All other orders for workshops and after school club can still be booked and I'll catch up with you when I'm back later in the month 😘

A beautiful bird bath created at my workshop earlier in the month by Nicky, a regular to my classes. It looks really lovely in her garden and I'm sure it's attracting lots of birds to pop by for their daily wash and a little drink 🐦‍⬛💜🐦‍⬛

I love when people send me photos of what they've created at one of my workshops and I can see it grouted and in the perfect spot for them to enjoy. I've been so caught up with school projects that I've not posted any photos of my workshops which have continued to run alongside my project work.

So here's a lovely mandala created by Fiona at my mandala making evening a few weeks ago. It's now taking pride of place in her yoga space 🥰

And if you want to dip your toe in and have a little go before committing to a bigger project then do come along to one of my one hour sessions running next week and at the end of August. 72 absolutely fab mosaics created this morning at my workshops!! 👏👏👏 Don't worry if you didn't get along today, I've got another 2 more workshops next week on Wed 2nd Aug where there will be even more shapes, sparkle and shine! So as well as all these shapes, there will be gorgeous mermaid tails just waiting to be filled with shimmering tiles. I've got rockets, steam trains, sports cars and even some Mickey mouse heads! It's not quite beach time and ice cream for me yet but it's coming soon!! But in the meantime I'm getting in the mood with my summer themed mosaic workshops on the 3rd and 30th August in the gorgeous village of Wheathampsted Village&Co. Come join me and make a day of it. Firstly, there's free parking (there's a summer holiday win right there 😁) several fab coffee shops, oodles of open green space for a picnic and of course the river to have a splash in! And as always my workshops are not just for the little folk, I know how much you all love having a go too. There's always several mums, dads and grandparents who come along and enjoy some creative time together with their favourite little people. I've got so many new shapes to choose from including ice creams, cupcakes, mermaid tails, cars and trains, rockets, rainbows and smiley clouds!!
