At a recent wedding fair, I had some lovely conversations with couples about their wedding plans — and one thing that came up wanting everything to go smoothly on the day
Will the day run to schedule?
Will both families get on?
Will guests know where they need to be?
Will people listen to the speeches?
Will the children behave?
And, most importantly… will you actually get time to relax and enjoy your own wedding day?
Wedding planning can be stressful. I remember feeling exactly the same when I got married in 2011. My biggest worry was keeping everyone happy and making sure the day flowed smoothly.
I didn’t want a traditional toastmaster, as I felt they might be a little too formal for the relaxed day we wanted. Luckily, I had a brilliant friend, Andrew, who stepped in as our host. He announced our big entrance, introduced the speeches and helped keep everyone smiling.
But I also realised that not everyone has an “Andrew” they can rely on.
That’s one of the reasons I now offer my Magical Wedding Emcee packages.
