Tomorrow im headed of to Bearded Theory 2026! I shall be performing in the Something Else Tea Tent. So lucky to be sharing the stage with these absolutely fabulous people.

The Tea Tent is full of love and unity and does not give ground to intolerance.

Massive thank you to Gail S Else for this wonderful opportunity.

I really love that you need to check the board outside the tent to see who is on each day.

This was my favourite stage/area last year and can fully state I found my tribe.

Glittery Unicorns

Here’s a jolly poem
Full of joy and glee
Smiles and glittery unicorns
Some happy stuff from me

It’s not all doom and gloom
With dark skies overhead
Or sorrowful stanzas
To kill your mood dead

This one’s full of sunshine
With all the love it brings
Of puppy dogs bouncing and yapping
Kittens rolling balls of string

There is no bitterness
Not a wrecked spiralling soul
No mention of hopelessness
To take its bloody messed up toll

The excitement of Christmas
The Yuletide joy and bliss
The decorations and fairy lights
The stolen mistletoe kiss

Not a glimmer of insanity
No mention of a twisted brain
No tales of woe and misery
No manic laughter gibberish insane

Clotted cream and strawberries
A nice cider served with ice
Music and dancing and memories
All the things that make life nice

See I said it wouldn’t be dark
Set in a world totally midnight black
No clutching grasping demons
With claws imbedded in my back

(Potential trigger warning)

Conditioned Men

Eighty Four men a week
Because we are conditioned
We’re weak if we speak

‘Man up’ is the ingrained battle cry
While we silently bottle our feelings
Become another statistic of Su***de

Too scared to show our emotions
Told it’s wrong to seek help or advice
Seems the only option or way out
Is to decide to end our life

What a stupid message we had
What a stupid way to grow
Hide the tears and emotions boys
It’s the way we are conditioned you know

Three Hundred and Thirty Six deaths
Monthly cost to families and us all
Shush, be quite the mantra encased
So in desperation we fall

Four Thousand and Thirty Two annually
It’s far too much to pay
All for stupid conditioning
And it still carries on today

So we’ve got to stop this
Say ‘Lads’ and scream it loud
‘It’s not weak to talk about your feelings
To express emotions is very much allowed’

So it’s okay for you to feel this way
But please don’t hide and instead start to talk
Scream and cry if you need to
You’re not alone on this walk

We have to change how we do this
It must start at home and in school
It’s okay for men to be emotional
That has to be the new rule

No worldly love

How can I write
When words don’t seem enough
With all the hate in the world
Seems wrong to talk about love

With so much damage done
We can say ‘not in our name’
But what does it accomplish
When it happens again and again

We are witnesses to genocide
Served daily on the TV
With no one held accountable
Just the normal background for all to see

What of the poets and singers
Still writing and singing protest songs
But nothing in the world is changing
Where have we all gone wrong

Does it make any difference
Hatred and racism still on the rise
While we just become accustomed to it all
We watch with blinkered eyes

See the damage done to Gaza
It now has little impact
Been fed to us so often now
We just take it as daily fact

See countries invade others
But not our problem you see
It’s happening somewhere else
It doesn’t effect you and me

So I’m sorry to say this
Words are just not enough
See no signs of resistance
See no worldly love

With loads of love

The road can be dark and long
When you’re feeling low and not strong
You feel like you’re just not enough
Facing getting out can be tough
Thoughts of interacting makes you sway
When you feel like it’s another long day
When you’re inner chimp is fighting your Id
You’re brain is racing about to flip its lid
Just remember you’re not on your own
Reach out to friends you’re not alone
When you’re feeling you’re not enough
We’ve got you covered with loads of love

Dashboard Jesus

Miles on the road
And the car bills are soaring
But worth all the stress
When you hear the crowd roaring

From all the new venues
When you can hear a pin drop
To all the packed ones
When the singalongs don’t stop

The air BnB’s
Hotels crammed in one room
From the early journey starts
To driving by moon

The stupid country roads
With pot holes adorned
To the endless motorway queuing
Feeling tired and board

The laughs and conversations
We have along the way
To the next leg of the journeys
Taking it all come what may

To the powerful voice of Jess
The phenomenon that is Matt
The withering stares of Caroline
I can’t get enough of that

To the ASD outburst
Every time I pass a cow
To listening to new music
Dashboard Jesus tour
Just wow

So whilst I was down at Wycombe Arts Centre I had the pleasure of Ian Moss videoing me doing a couple of poems. This is the first one and also the most personal to me I’ve ever wrote. It is about some of my experience of being in Care. I should point out a potential trigger warning. I don’t perform this one often, it is only the 3rd time read to an audience.

Care(less)

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

A Ditty

Farage is making noise again
Mein Kamph is off the shelf again
He’s looking what next to do

Tommy Robinson blaming grooming gangs
Just so long as they are brown
Blindsided to what white people do

Nathan Gill got 10 years in jail
The Russian plan was a fail
His mates are running to the hills

Lawrence Fox is just a failed actor
Stirring hate like he’s on X Factor
Trying to stay relevant to you

Katie Hopkins couldn’t win Apprentice
Spits hatred like curdled J**z
Just a spiteful cow going moo

As for Richard Tice
He don’t know how to be nice
Even school kids see through you

Nick Teconi with Roman salute high
Sheffield ran you dry
You better slink of home too

Never gonna vote Reform
Being gammon is not the norm
I’ve got better things to do

So for all you fascist scum
We’re gonna get you on the run
We see right through you

We’ve learnt from history
To fight against racism and bigotry
We’ve got a message for you

It don’t matter if you hid or ran
We’re here with chants of No Pasaran
We will find and defeat you
