Today turned out to be a very unexpectedly busy, but absolutely brilliant day for appointments 🖤✨️

✨️ Mum & Daughter matching Helix & Flat piercings
✨️ A beautiful healed Daith jewellery change using Medical Grade Titanium in Yellow Gold to perfectly match the client's existing jewellery

I also had the privilege of meeting one of the most courageous women I've ever encountered. I truly have no words to describe just how strong and brave you are. Keep going, my darling. Your sparkle hasn't gone anywhere — it will shine again when it's ready ❤️✨️

Ear Piercings during the Summer Holidays aren't just for children… they're for School Leavers too! 🖤
Today I had the absolute pleasure of piercing Mazy & Amelie straight after their final exam 🥳

What an incredible way to celebrate the end of one chapter and the beginning of the next.

✨️ Piercing Bumps ✨️
Ok, it's time to talk about those pesky bumps and finally call them what they really are… Moisture Bumps 🫠 or Irritation Bumps.
So, why do we get these little beasts?
During the healing process, your body produces collagen to help heal your new piercing. If the area is repeatedly traumatised or exposed to excess moisture, your body can produce too much collagen in that area, resulting in a bump.
So, how do we avoid these pesky bumps? By limiting trauma and moisture!
✨️ Avoid excessive movement.
✨️ Downsize your jewellery when your piercer advises you to.
✨️ Use a piercing pillow (I absolutely do not condone spending £50+ on one, so I will always help you find the cheapest and best option!).
✨️ Keep your piercings dry after showering or whenever they get wet, especially during the first year.
✨️ Check that hair isn't wrapping around your jewellery.
✨️ Please, please, PLEASE do not twist your new piercings. This is a very outdated method often advised by gun users and it only causes unnecessary irritation.
If you do find yourself with a bump, it definitely isn't the end of your piercing journey! Pop into the studio or send me a message and I'll help you as best I can.
