Our final concert of the Season is on Saturday 11th April – and it’s going to be rather special! Penelope Appleyard (soprano) and Jonathan Delbridge (original 1814 Broadwood square piano) will present “Sense and Musicality” – their Jane Austen themed programme. Not to be missed!

On Saturday 21st March we welcome the Piatti Quartet to Richmond, North Yorkshire. They’ll be playing Brahms and Dvorak for us but we will also get to hear Charlotte Harding’s Iorsa which is inspired by the beautiful Arran scenery shown here. The astonishing wonderful bass section of the getting ready for Pulcinella, Ligeti and Chopin in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. They were outstanding – as, of course, was the amazing .official with her trademark stilettos!

The countdown has well and truly begun for our next Season of concerts which begins on Saturday 20th September with the magnificent Voces8 Scholars Ensemble, here in Richmond, North Yorkshire.

Our next concert is a little while off (Carducci Quartet on March 8th) so there’s time for a bit of double bassiness.
I was very excited to be a part of the performance of A Child of our Time; Glasshouse’s Share the Stage project in which Royal Northern Sinfonia collaborated with amateur musicians from across the region. Equally thrilling was the line-up of stellar soloists - and the ever youthful Willard White. With the wonderful at the helm it was a performance to remember.
Very well done to and for putting on this stunning event.
