Quiz organisers Pauline and Ron Richmond have been supporting our work with young people diagnosed with cancer, for many years now.

Quiz teams across Markse have been getting together in their local pub The Mermaid, to raise funding in memory Georgina Anderson, a talented and gifted young musician whose talent reached music lovers right across the globe.

Thank you to Pauline, Ron and all the teams who pit their wits and knowledge against each other, to keep raising funding for other young people who we support locally.

Here is Georgina's mum Helen accepting the gift of £500 at the Christmas Quiz Night.

My thanks go to Pauline and Ron Richmond and the quiz goers of the Mermaid pub in Marske for their generous donation of £500 to Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of Georgina. This money comes from moneys raised by raffles at Thursday quiz nights throughout the year. I am super-grateful for their ongoing support.

This Friday evening at the Zetland Hotel (Top House) in Marske. Massive thanks to all involved .

The bottles are starting to come in for this Friday's charity night for Teenage Cancer Trust featuring Squealer and Callum Barritt cutting and shaving off about 12 inches of hair and a bottle raffle, please come in ,enjoy yourself and support this worthy cause ❤️

Update:thanks to generous post-concert donations, the total raised in honour of Georgina’s 25th birthday is £1570, which I have sent off to Teenage Cancer Trust today. Thank you to everyone who supported our event last week!

I am thrilled to announce that £1480 was raised for Teenage Cancer Trust at Georgina’s 25th birthday concert. My thanks to Paula Odell’s New Day Singers, Angel Freer, Chloe Sives Jackson and Jake Mason for performing. Thanks to the wonderful, supportive audience and to everyone who donated money and raffle prizes. The signed MFC shirt was won by Sarah Henderson. The whole event was a wonderful community effort and a beautiful tribute to Georgina. Thank you all 💕💕💕
