Sunday 16th of August 3pm - 7pm, we return to Artch in Preston (22, 24 Gradwell Street PR1 8SD) to play disco music, throw shapes, hang out & make friends.

Tickets £10 on Skiddle. Low-income tickets are available for those who need them.

1. Toilets
Three gender neutral toilet cubicles and a urinal block.

2. Disabled Toilets
Dedicated regulation disabled toilet.

3. Sensory Space
Chill space with low-volume music, mood lighting, crafty bits & flexible seating.
A welcoming environment designed to help people relax, regulate their senses, feel comfortable, unwind, refocus, or take a break from overwhelming surroundings. Curated by Gemma from Art & Joy, who host neurodivergent LGBTQIA+ friendly art workshops in Chorley. Expect low-volume music, mood lighting, crafty bits & flexible seating.

4. Dance Floor
Four local DJs playing Disco & Funky tunes from all eras. Bright colourful decor provided by dedgud spaces, podium dancers, VERY LIGHT smoke machine, lighting, disco balls & occasional confetti.

A couch, free coat rack & flexible seating for those who need a moment but don't want to be outside of the atmosphere.

5. Bar
Provided by Only Cans, supplying a range of canned beers, spirits, soft drinks & alcohol free beverages.

6. Social Area
Outside social area for people to chat or catch a breather, flexible seating & tables available.

7. Boring Staff Stuff
We’re keeping capacity low & growing the community slowly; the venue is quite big so we barrier-off this bit to help the vibes.

8. Entrance
Where you show your tickets and will be met by Adam from our care team.

9. A pigeon
Columba Livia- or common pigeon, also known as the rock dove. Currently in talks to be known as the disco dove.

Few extra bits about Sunday. Tickets on Skiddle just find Sexy Woke Disco Club #2. There are no walk in on the day so if you're thinking of coming please get tickets in advance. Floor plan coming shortly (we've moved the sensory room to the middle Artch).

Massive thank you to dedgudspaces who did our decor for the last event! From such a ropey sketch to a beautifully decorated venue adding soo much to the vibe. 😍 🧡 Needless to say they're back next sunday with a few surprises 🪼😍🧡

Sexy Woke Disco Club is proud to announce that we are partnering with Art & Joy to run the sensory space at our events.

A sensory space is a calm, welcoming environment designed to help people relax, regulate their senses, feel comfortable, unwind, refocus, or take a break from overwhelming surroundings.

Although the space at our last event provided a welcome reprieve for those who needed it, we felt it needed a bit more TLC to make it more welcoming and accommodating.

Art & Joy hosts neurodivergent LGBTQIA+ friendly art workshops in Chorley. The organiser Gemma is one of our care team & we’ve worked with them before at Preston Creative Social. With the care & attention they put into making their spaces a calming and grounding environments, bringing them on board to manage the sensory space felt like a natural next step.
