'Anxiety is waiting to be held, to be loved.'
Stick with me for a minute...
Take a breath.
Many of us find anxiousness appearing within our daily routine.
Most likely a hinderence.
To dig a little deeper, anxiety appears because of our fear of the future, the unknown.
A natural physiological response to our surroundings, fuelled by the mind.
Quite rightly so - if we were still living in caves, it would be considered a highly useful tool for our survival.
Fear, the foundation stone of anxiety is an ancient, involuntary mechanism. It exists to alert the body to the threat of harm.
But in 2026 it seems to have manifest into a bit of a modern day monster. One that's confused of it's purpose.
The more I read, research and listen to your experiences, todays anxiety seems to NEED something.
But what if it simply..........
Just needs to be held?
A hug.
The type of embrace that stills and CALMS the nervous system.
From within.
To not fight AGAINST
But to see with open eyes, and open arms.
Maybe you just need to be held.
That the inner protest of fear, terror, panic, upset needs witnessing and held until its safe.
Gently hushed and held with strong and trustworthy arms.
A sort of snuggle where the rest of the world drifts away.
Until you feel safe.
Let's make a simple pact......
the next time you start to hear the whispers of worry starting to sabotage your day:
✨️ Take a patient breath
✨️ VISUALISE something or someone that feels safe to you - a special person, imaginary person, blanket, forest floor, huge hand coming out of the sky...whatever works for you
✨️ FEEL and TRUST that visual holding you, safely, gently, lovingly
✨️ ALLOW this embrace to really move through you. Experience the sensory snuggle of safety and conscious love to care and to comfort you here in this moment
✨️ Remember to breathe and wiggle fingers and toes when you're feeling ready....helping to anchor you back into the present moment to continue your day
See how it feels.
If it works for you.
I'd love to know how you get on. ❤️
And remember...
You are safe.
You are loved.
