Brand new small original oil painting. It is 8.5 ins x 8 - I guessed at the size aiming for square from A4 paper - I should have known. But am quite pleased with the result. I took photos on another long walk and couldn't walk that far now a week later as on Monday I went to Dermatology and a lovely nurse removed a cancer from my leg. Leaving a line and 8 stitches. Quite painful but at least it is all gone! The first of several that size I hope.

A picture of Hilsea Lines in Portsmouth, impressionist style again. Oil on paper and framed. You can see this picture at the POSE100 celebrating 100 years of City Status along with loads of Portsmouth artists. You can only exhibit one artwork each. Do come along it is at Boathouse no 9 in the Dockyard, 4th to 12th April. It is like a concentrated exhibition of the creativity of Portsmouth, all in one place. And not to be missed.

Oil painting from two years ago, of Bosham Harbour. I think I have over-complicated the foreground, with the steps and jetty, but I'm not sure. What do you think? I wanted this landscape to feel like a memory you can almost - but not quite- fully recall.Just enough detail to recognise the place, and just enough blur to let your own memories fill in the space.

I will tell you a story. I attended class at the Omega Art School on Wednesday , where Karl Rudziak limited my colours. I came out and couldn't find my car, it was parked in the backstreets. Two lovely women, from the class, saw me wandering around and offered to help me find it. After much searching they suggested driving around in their car which we did and finally found it. Phew!

Oldest Grandkid laughing.
Haven't posted for ages still bit ill but did this strange picture at Omega art school. It has moved from Omega to The Charles Dickens Centre, a bit different to say the least. No picture dryer so had to use quick drying oil paints, in two colours! I quite like this myself.
