This Christmas season, we give thanks to each and every one of you who has supported Rising Stars throughout the year. Because of your time, generosity, and encouragement, our children have grown in confidence, creativity, and joy, reaching milestones we are so proud to celebrate.

We are especially grateful for our incredible volunteers, who give their time, energy, and hearts to nurture and inspire the children. Your dedication and support you give reaches far beyond the Tuesday sessions and stage.

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, we are reminded that every child is wonderfully made and deeply loved. Thank you for being part of a community that lifts up young lives and helps them shine.

🌟 What a Show! Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat 🌟

A huge congratulations to our incredible Rising Stars children for their outstanding performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat! 🎭✨

From the first note to the final bow, the energy, talent, and dedication on stage were truly breathtaking. Every song was sung with heart, every scene brought to life with confidence, and every child gave their absolute best.

We couldn’t be prouder of how far they’ve come, the teamwork, commitment, and joy they’ve shown throughout this journey has been inspiring.

A massive thank-you also goes to our wonderful leaders Kevin, Maggie, Sue, and Shelley, whose guidance and hard work helped make this production shine so brightly. 🌈

And to all families, friends, and supporters, thank you for cheering on our Rising Stars. Your encouragement means the world.

🎭✨ “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” A Rising Stars Production! ✨🎭

We’re so excited to invite you to this year’s Rising Stars performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! 🌈🎶

🕔 5:00pm, Saturday 29th November
📍 Gilgal Church, Park Avenue, Porthcawl, CF36 3EP

Our talented young performers have been rehearsing with passion and energy and they’ve even created their very own hand-drawn posters to celebrate the show! 🎨👩‍🎨👦 Each one captures the joy and colour of this timeless musical, and we couldn’t be prouder of their creativity.

Come along for an evening full of music, laughter, and colour as we bring Joseph’s incredible story to life. It’s a community event you won’t want to miss! 💫

🌟 Meet the Rising Stars Leaders! 🌟

From left to right: Kevin, Maggie, Carolyn, Sue, and Shelley – the dedicated team at the heart of Rising Stars.

Every week, they bring energy, care, and creativity to the children, making sure sessions run smoothly and every child feels supported to shine. Whether it’s building confidence, teaching new skills, or keeping everything behind the scenes on track, Kevin, Maggie, Carolyn, Sue, and Shelley are the reason Rising Stars runs like it does.

On top of their day-to-day commitment, they’re also helping our young performers bring Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat to life, a project that’s showcasing just how much talent and hard work goes into every session. 🎭✨

👏 We’re so grateful for everything they do to make Rising Stars such a special place for our children.

A special shout-out to those who joined us for the very first time today. They did amazingly well tackling so many new things – new people, new songs, improvising, moving in time, and even reading music. 👏 We’re so proud of them all!

✨🎶 What a wonderful evening at The Vine Christian Centre! 🎶✨

The Rising Stars sang beautifully at the choir festival hosted by The Vine Christian Centre before we broke up for summer, filling the room with joy. A special highlight was their moving performance of “Castle on a Cloud” from Les Misérables (clip below 👇).

🌟 Rising Stars Children’s Choir 🌟

At Rising Stars, we believe music and movement are made to be fun, freeing, and full of joy! 🎶✨ Our choir is a place where children (ages 8–11) come together to sing, move, make friends, and shine with confidence.

Led by the passionate Maggie Jemmett and her amazing team, every session is about more than just singing — it’s about laughter, teamwork, and discovering the power of music to bring us closer together. 💃🕺🎤

Whether your child loves belting out their favourite songs, dancing to the beat, or simply wants to make new friends in a warm and welcoming group, Rising Stars is the place to be! 🌈

📍 We meet every Tuesday night at Gilgal Church Hall, Porthcawl. Arrival from 4.15 for a 4.30-5.30 session.
🥤 Drinks & snacks included – because music is always better with a treat!
