Did you know that all Year 1 students starting on the BA Creative and Therapeutic Arts course this September will receive £100 in vouchers for Specialist Crafts? To help students towards the cost of art materials for their studies, they will receive a £50 voucher in Term 1 & another £50 voucher in Term 2.

A ‘Basic Kit List’ is included as part of the Year 1 student Induction Information Packs. If you enter ‘Artist and Student Packs’ into the search bar of the Specialist Crafts website, there is a range of options for cost-effective bundles of art tools and materials. However, students can use the vouchers for anything they wish, as long as it’s purchased from this website.

IN ADDITION, all students on our course have FREE ACCESS TO ADOBE CREATIVE CLOUD (woohoo!) for the duration of their studies.

Llongyfarchiadau i’n myfyrwyr sy’n graddio yn 2026. Rydym yn hynod falch ohonoch, ac o bopeth rydych chi wedi’i gyflawni dros y tair blynedd diwethaf. Fel tîm o ddarlithwyr – Heloise, Becky ac Emily – dymunwn y gorau i chi yn y dyfodol. Rydym yn edrych ymlaen yn eiddgar at weld beth fyddwch chi’n ei wneud nesaf. Beth bynnag fo hynny, bydd yn rhywbeth aruthrol.

Congratulations to our graduating students of 2026. We couldn’t be prouder of you and all that you’ve achieved over the last 3 years. As a lecturing team, Heloise, Becky & Emily, we wish you all the best for the future. We can’t wait to see what you go on to do. Whatever it is, it’ll be monumental.

Yn ddiweddar, mynychodd ein Harweinydd Cwrs, Heloise Godfrey-Talbot Artist, arddangosfa’r cwrs Meistr mewn Celfyddydau, Iechyd a Lles ar Campws yr Atriwm ym Mhrifysgol De Cymru – cwrs dan arweiniad yr ysbrydoledig Thania Acarón.

Roedd yn wych dathlu llwyddiannau nid un, ond dwy aelod o’n cyn-fyfyrwyr BA Celfyddydau Creadigol a Therapiwtig, Jo Perry - Artist a Katie Henderson, a gwblhaodd eu Hastudiaethau Meistr yn llwyddiannus eleni.

Llongyfarchiadau mawr i bawb, ond yn enwedig i Jo a Katie. Gwaith pwysig sy’n ysgogi’r meddwl – mae’r tîm cyfan mor falch ohonoch!

Recently, our Course Leader, Heloise Godfrey-Talbot, attended the Masters in Arts, Health and Wellbeing exhibition at our University of South Wales Atrium Campus, a course led by the inspirational Thania Acarón.

It was wonderful to celebrate the achievements of not one, but two members of our BA CTA alumni, Jo Perry and Katie Henderson, who successfully completed their Masters Studies this year.

Huge congratulations to all, but especially to Jo and Katie. Important and thought-provoking work - the whole CTA team are so proud.

Mae ein cyn-fyfyrwyr BA Celfyddydau Creadigol a Therapiwtig bob amser yn ein gwneud ni’n falch! Gwych gweld Anna o Well Wagon yn paentio’n fyw mewn digwyddiad cyffrous a gynhaliwyd gan y tîm Datblygiad Plant o Adran Seilcoleg Prifysgol De Cymru i ddogfennu a chydgrynhoi’r diwrnod.

Our BA Creative and Therapeutic Arts alumni are always making us proud! Great to see Anna of Well Wagon in action, live painting an exciting event run by the Child Development team from the Psychology Department at the University of South Wales to document and consolidate the day.

Diolch i bawb a ddaeth i’n Diwrnod Agored BA Celfyddydau Creadigol a Therapiwtig ym Mhrifysgol De Cymru heddiw.

Fel rhan o’r diwrnod, cymerodd ein gwesteion ran mewn gweithgaredd creadigol byr. Gwnaethon nhw ddyluniadau ar gyfer llwyau caru Cymreig gan ddefnyddio rhwbiadau gwead o’n hadeilad fel deunyddiau ‘collage’. Roedd eu llwyau caru wedi’u gwneud o symbolau a oedd yn cynrychioli’r hyn yr hoffent ei gario gyda nhw, a’r hyn yr hoffent ei ddymuno iddyn nhw eu hunain, ar ddechrau eu taith i Addysg Uwch.

Thank you to everyone who came to our Open Day for the BA Creative and Therapeutic Arts course at the University of South Wales today.

As part of the day, our guests engaged in a short, creative activity. They made designs for Welsh love spoons using texture rubbings from our building as collage materials. Their love spoons were made up of symbols which represented what they would like to carry with them, and what they would like to wish themselves, at the start of their journey into Higher Education.
