'Lest we Forget'

My younger son marched today with the Sea Cadets to honour all those that have 'given their todays' and continue to do so... his older brother is currently serving in the Royal Navy.

Hey,
I thought I would introduce myself a little bit more since a lot of you are new here and I have never really done so, so here we go 🌸

🤍 I am a Professional Artist from Yorkshire, U.K

🤍 I travel up to the highlands in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 a lot, my ancestors travelled from Ireland to Scotland in the early 1900s before travelling to England where I was born.

🤍 I dream of writing and illustrating my own childrens books.

🤍 I have illustrated books this last year and it has been amazing to collaborate with up and coming authors such as Sonny and the Shaman - NJ Parker Author

🤍 I first started drawing when I was child, I was told by school that I couldnt do art as there was no space in the class, so I did design and technology instead - still got to create 😊 my first big mural was Little Mermaid which i painted on my mums bathroom wall!

🤍 I started drawing, painting and creating again following domestic abuse in 2015 - I became a single mum to three children who were 1, 3 and 9 at the time (my absolute soul).. but in the wake of chaos I found my way back to an easel and basically drew my way out of depression and financial crisis. My children who are now 10, 12 , and 18 have always been my inspiration and biggest supporters, and I am eternally grateful to them.

🤍 I work with children (and adults) to encourage creativity to overcome adversity and to have as much fun as possible to be themselves.

🤍 I love reading, if im not creating i'm reading or learning something 📚

🤍 I home educate my middle child who was diagnosed with Autism, Dyspraxia and Epilepsy at age 5.

🤍 I have a side hustle as an Independent Travel Agent because I love to travel - Embrace the Journey!

🤍 I grew myself an Apothecary garden which I adore.

🤍I feel like I am in the wrong time period.

🤍 I love vanilla cheesecake ❤️

🤍 We have a pup, a cocker spaniel, who just adds to the love of our home 💕

🤍 I love receiving and reading peoples emails, I feel honoured that people share there stories with me - thank you! 🙏
