Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are all well. I have missed the parties. I have missed the children! I know I have said I may not be continuing the business , but i think i am going to see what happens here. The figures are still high and if I'm completely honest, i myself have felt vulnerable being overweight, which I am tackling head on! When all this started, I thought that it would be the end of discos and entertainers for the foreseeable future, with so many uncertainties still, although i cannot commit to dates etc..I just wanted to say , that I sincerely hope to be back before too long . I dont believe all is lost. X

FACE PAINTING AND DEPOSITS*
Good afternoon everyone . I hope you're all keeping well. I have been thinking hard about what I can do and have come to the decision when allowed to , to facepaint at weekends. If you have seen me paint, you'll know I have always kept it pretty simple as I knew I had games to follow and was always restricted by time..if I am only face painting, I can focus on that aspect and offer more elaborate designs. I will also offer use of the uv lighting should you want to have a uv party. Obviously this cannot start until we are given the go ahead , but I wanted to let you all know. If you are still waiting on a refund and would like to apply it to an hours face painting, you can do that too. I can also face paint festival style for adults . If you would.still like your refund, please bear with me. I am refunding as and when I can afford to at the moment . Dont forget also, I offer pet portraits on glass and these can be ordered in place of refund too. Here are a few pics . Xx

Good evening all! I hope you're all well.
During the lockdown , I have reignited my love for writing singing and playing and have finally managed to write a song ..its been years since I have been able to finish a song. As some of you know, I lost my dad in Oct 2018. I have written this song for and about my dad and my daughter has put together a little video. Good morning everyone. I hope you are all keeping well.
I have come to the very difficult decision that for the forseeable future , I will have to close the business. I dont know when parties will be safe to go ahead and I need to be able to provide for my family somehow and as a single parent, financially I am under a lot of pressure.I am not closing the door completely , as I have thoroughly enjoyed the last 6 years and should things change in the future, I may resume.
As some of you may know, I have in the past painted and engraved glass. I have made the decision to turn this into a full time business. Hand painted dartington glass , gift boxed ,presented In a gift bag and hand delivered locally with a message card. A bit like florists, but with glass. This will enable me to bring in some money and my first priority will be refunding deposits. This business is not fully ready to go yet but hopefully from monday, I will be ready. Of course if anyone would like to have £30 of gift ware, in place of deposits, that could also be an option, however please do not worry if that doesn't suit. I will make sure all deposits are returned as soon as I have the funds to do so. I will message everyone as and when for where to send refunds. I will post the link to my new venture in the comments, if of any interest, please do like and share away.
I would like to thank all of you for your support over the last 6 years. Thank you for recommending me, leaving lovely reviews and in some cases, rebooking me each year . It has been lovely to get to know so many of you and I hope to see you all again.

'Edit' - I have put this here to explain my situation, please dont all start requesting a refund as yet. I am simply not in the financial position for refunding right now as I'm sure most of you must be aware .'

Hello everyone.
I hope you are all keeping well.
It's such a strange and sad time. My heart goes out to anyone affected by this awful virus.
The future feels so uncertain right now , I find myself wondering if parties will ever be the same again. I wonder if once the lockdown is lifted , how long will social distancing remain in place ? I suspect it will be for quite some time.
This is a concern for everyone and particularly those who work in this field where gatherings are what it's all about .
I want to be open and honest about my situation.
My mum lives with us and is obviously older . She is also in the high risk category. I want to protect her as much as possible from this awful illness as anyone can understand. I also need to be able to provide for my children which at the moment is obviously proving a challenge.
Firstly , I dont know when parties will be allowed to go ahead,
Secondly, I dont know if when they are, we will have a vaccine.
It has been made clear this virus will be around for some time and i have heard some theories that we will not be able to go back to 'normal' for a very , very long time.
I am not saying I will not be doing parties when we are allowed to go ahead ..I absolutely love my job and I miss all those happy little faces! I do need to somehow provide though and I'm just not sure where this leaves me.
I have as some of you know, been offering credit notes for parties affected. As things progress , we will know more and I can be completely clear about what I can offer.
If the worst comes to the worst , I will endeavour to reimburse people's deposits over time in a way that I can manage..but please do not think right now I am quitting. I simply want to be honest about my concerns. Once again. Please stay well and keep yourselves safe. I miss you all! Much love. Jen ###

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE .
I have sent the credit notes with discount for parties affected up till the 19th of april. I anticipate this going on much longer however, so if you would like yours now please just send me a message . We will know more as time goes on so I will be sending as and when required.
I hope you are all managing to stay safe..keep well and are coping well those of you having your little ones at home. Home learning is a whole new learning curve for us grown ups too! I was thinking of doing something here for music . If anyone has instruments for the children they haven't got around to having lessons for , or maybe song structure for the slightly older ones if they are interested in song writing ? Before parties , music was my thing . I write , sing and play guitar, drums and bass a little . I will be certainly using this time to write and record some new songs! Maybe even a kids party dance song !
These are worrying times for all. I really hope you all get through this without any illness or loss. We need to all be there for each other.

CORONAVIRUS AND PARTIES UPDATE
*Sorry it's a long one *
I have now had many parties cancelled and am waiting for some responses still. I will contact more people today .
I find myself in a very awful position financially with the uncertainty and possibility of no income for goodness knows how long .
For parties that have been paid for upfront I will be refunding minus the deposit.
I am offering res scheduling or credit notes with a discount for parties that cannot now go ahead.
I saw a post on a popular Plymouth girls page regarding someone complaining about not getting a deposit returned for a party...and I have to say , some of the comments made me feel literally sick ...comments such as they 'must ' refund your deposit and that's disgusting etc..etc.. I would like to draw attention to the fact that self employed entertainers and workers at this stage are literally struggling with no income for the foreseeable future, particularly those who specialise in working with groups of people . We are all in the same boat and people will lose jobs, money and times will be hard . But for us , there is no help. No sick pay. We are not big corporate businesses. We are human beings with families and responsibilities, mouths to feed , just like you, only the self employed have to do all their own admin, paperwork correspondence and it never stops ..its not just about turning up . So far my customers have been wonderful and have expressed their concerns for self employed people . Some of you will be self employed and also feeling the struggle so will know what I'm talking about . Who knows how long this will continue . I really want my business to withstand this struggle , I love my job and love you guys . I hope you all get though this difficult time without too much hardship and manage to avoid the nasty virus. CORONAVIRUS AND PARTIES
Due to.the current situation I am sure you are as I am , all wondering what is going to happen with parties. At the moment it's a bit uncertain. If you have a party booked and we are not able to have a large gathering, it may be possible to downsize to a home party with just closest friends and a smaller set up or alternatively we can either reschedule when things have settled down or receive a credit note.
I will also offer a discount for anyone who has to reschedule for a later date.
I will not be cancelling any parties unless they become banned. I will be guided by your feelings on this too.
