Day 12 maybe… so alongside the getting the printing press to work and restringing of guitars, some songs I wrote in my 20s and 30s have been on my mind. … some I could find a chord or two while only remembering the rough idea of them… others just a feeling…I knew I had some recordings on an old iPod somewhere … anyway today I found it, hunted down an old style lead and some wired headphones … this one I wrote about the last time I got very very drunk… (2008) some of them still make my heart ache . Looking forward to finding the chords again

Day 10-11 of my unspecified and open ended challenge … yesterday Jerri restrung my takamini - 3/4 size takamine , well I started and he took over as he knows how much I hate doing it - also it was our anniversary (15 years) and then I spent time playing it in… it takes 13’s to help keep it in tune but they’re heavy strings compared to the 10s on my other full size Takamine . Anyway it was due the old strings were rank and I want to record on this one .. strange buzz on the D string 7th fret but it’s intermittent so it must be me. The song I want to record on it doesn’t go there so yey! Today more playing it in as when I record I don’t want screaming bright new strings…

Day 6 - Progress is rarely a straight line. Spent time calibrating the little press I got for my birthday ( in September-this is the first proper opportunity I’ve had to spend time working out the set up) many many duff prints and a split finger in my gloves later these are a bit messy but not terrible. Thought I’d get a chance later on today but the fates had other plans

Day 4 of my self imposed, unspecified and ultimately pointless challenge… a day in Plymouth, shopping, bumping into a wonderful school friend .. yes we must meet up and I actually mean that and hunting for real ice cream on the Hoe… don’t get me started on my why Mr Whippy is the devil’s jis… we were successful with the ice cream .. rum n raisin … nom nom….

Day 3. We went to Teignmouth, I thought I might go for a swim but it was windy, choppy and a bit too brown for my liking! … so we had coffee and did some sketching…
