A huge thank you to everyone who made our village fete a success - from charmingly funny Nigel Havers opening it, Vale of Pewsey Scout Group running our obstacle course, Jones Robinson Estate Agents sponsoring and running the Coconut Shy, Honey's Real Dog Food sponsoring the dog show run by the brilliant multitasker Chloe of Central Bark Dog Grooming, and a HUGE thank you to all the volunteers who gave up their time and sat on stalls, put up gazebos, ran the BBQ and served pints and Pimms to a thirsty crowd.

We loved listening to the brilliant K V Brass band, The BlueBelles and our great friend and songwriter Rory Collins who all gave us a cheerful summer soundtrack to groove along to.

We may be nuts enough to do this again. What do you think?

It’s all to play for on this year’s EPIC obstacle course, built by Vale Landscaping, sponsored by Kellaway Building Supplies and run by the brilliant Vale of Pewsey Scout Group! Huge thanks to everyone involved.

Big and small, we’re on the hunt for local Star Bakers to win some fabulous prizes, sponsored by Doves Farm Hungerford and The Garden Kitchen!

Can you impress our celebrity judges in these categories?

• Celebration cake: Royal Theme (well it is the King’s birthday)

• Beautiful Biscuits

• Terrific Tray bakes

• Creative Cupcakes: Junior category

(Kids welcome to enter all, but cupcakes is just for them. Sorry Prue. Maybe next year.)

Bring your cakes to the village hall for 12.30 for judging at 1pm!
