🪽 The hardest gig I've done so far & the one I've been the most nervous for...Sadly my Godfather & Uncle passed away on 15.4.26- an extraordinary, clever & kind man. "Close family member" defines differently to everyone; but for me, having very few blood relatives- he was one of them. I have sung at 100's of Funerals in my career- his was the first family member's.

🪽 I sang the theme from "The Godfather" as he was my Godfather & so happened to love the films. It'd been on my radar to learn this song for a couple of years, but never got round to it; & now I know why; it was saved for this moment. I'll think of him every time I sing it for the rest of my days.

🪽 Uncle Don I know you're at peace now & all I can do is thank you for lighting up the lives of everyone you met...🤍

⭐ I know when I look up at the sky now, there'll be a star that's a little brighter & a rainbow that's even bolder...🌈
