KATHARINE BARKER
Katharine’s inspiration is the landscape and pre- history of far West Cornwall. Alignments of landscape features, positions of the sun and ancient built structures all inform her work.
Her small, ceramic sculptures are hand built, with textured surfaces, using slips, glazes and oxides on ceramic stoneware.

Julia Bearcroft
Julia is based in Cornwall and most of the imagery used for her work is inspired by nature and by finding objects indigenous to an area. This could be driftwood and stones found from a particular beach or fallen leaves and flowers from certain plants. She gathers her objects and arranges them into a design then photographs them either on location or in a studio situation.
Other works include photographs inspired by her surroundings & closeup photography of random objects which keep the viewer guessing.

ANDREW BEARD
Formerly an architect, Andrew learned his printmaking skills at John Howard’s studio in Penr yn. He has been producing etching/aquatints for over a decade, depicting interesting places and landscapes in West Cornwall and Derbyshire.
They have been widely exhibited, including Penlee House Gallery, the RWA Open and Woolwich International Print Fair.

I mainly work in oils and acrylics when painting and, in contrast, I use printmaking as a medium to explore line and tone in a completely different way.
My influences combine from my travels, sea swims and allotment.

Sarah moved to Cornwall after completing a portrait diploma at Heatherleys School of Fine Art, Chelsea. She has exhibited with Royal Society of Portrait Painters, RWA and at the Menier Gallery, London. Recently she has created work as part of the plot for Steven Soderberg’s film, The Christophers, starring Ian McKellen.
She paints portrait commissions primarily from life, in oils, focusing on the face, working to capture the essence of her sitter.
