My work is a resting place and somewhere to play with colour and texture without having to have an agenda. The intense glossiness of oil paint is worked into panels made of reclaimed copper, often with the marks of the coppers past life left behind.

Potter, printmaker and painter, Lorraine takes her inspiration from the natural world, she creates simple stylised shapes and forms that leave plenty of space for her enthusiasm for texture and pattern. Lorraine studied ceramics and glass in Australia at Monash University (formally Caulfield) and Printmaking at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge .She moved to Cornwall in 2023 from East Anglia and now lives and works from her home studio in Penzance.
