What a fabulous first rehearsal! It’s going to be great, Kevin used words such as ‘Brilliant ’ and ‘Fantastic’. More importantly, he didn’t describe any of it as ‘agricultural’……..

The sunset was beautiful, so there is a picture just for Kevin who couldn’t see it (not that we were looking either, of course, just appreciating the awe and wonder of the music.)

Next week the white Carol books should have arrived. If any of you have your own, please bring them. The less we need to keep tabs on, the less stressed Chris will be! It will save him having to harass you, (no one wants to experience that, do they?) and he can concentrate on counting beats, not scores.

One more whole day to go until we meet again. AGM when you get to volunteer for things (please……) music scores have arrived, and a chance to have a sing. We can’t wait to see you all- rain has arrived and singing will keep you warm in your heart and body.

Just as an extra, we love new young musicians and are trying to encourage some to join us. Some potential talents are singing next Wednesday in Marazion church at 7.30pm, with Penzance Orpheus Ladies Choir- that are good too! It might encourage them if we become familiar faces supporting their early performances.

The 5 day countdown has begun……

Bring Carols for Choirs green, yourself and a donation - if you want to- for the hire music. A sense of humour and patience is desirable, but not compulsory!

The clock is ticking. 6 days to go until our AGM and the start of our exciting music for the term. This bunch of brave men sang in the rain today, we get to sing in a lovely dry hall at Humphry Davy School. You might take a moment to ask our lovely secretary how she is feeling…… she’s looking a little bit battered!

We will be tackling St. Saens Christmas Oratorio (Schirmer), Holst, Christmas Day and more……. Bring along your Carols For Choirs 1 and any spares you have!

Great rehearsal tonight in preparation for this coming Sunday. Timothy Hosken worked us hard from the keyboard despite being under the weather. Great to welcome Paddy, a new second bass.
