“kinnomics”, shifting our thinking from an economics of commodification toward methods of making kin across interconnected ecological worlds.

Iman Datoo investigates the world-making capacities of plants, soils, and people—how we move, how we behave and how we make place.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The evening will begin with a short creative exercise involving a potato. Iman will then talk about two of her recent projects.

We’re excited to share that we’ve been awarded £19,941 from The National Lottery Community Fund towards our community activities for the next 12 months!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Huge thanks to the and players
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This means we can:

- continue our weekly social groups, Meet & Make and Tea, Cake & Art, supporting wellbeing and tackling loneliness through creativity
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- launch a new group (this month!) called Tearing Up The Maps, a series of talks exploring the work of artists of diverse heritage (ready to book online, link in bio)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- launch another new group called Sing & Play, a weekly music and singing group for young families to relax, connect and sing together (coming soon)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- employ a new staff member to help run and deliver the activities (details of recruitment coming soon)

- cover some of our overheads, allowing us to offer these groups at a low cost of between £1 - £7

We’ve created a light, calm space - a perfect base for your creative work.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The ground floor workspace is 29 SQM (312 sqft) with six desks priced at £165 pcm all inclusive.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The workspace features:
- own entrance (24 hr access)
- lockers
- kitchenette with microwave
- original wooden floors and sash windows
- access to outdoor, south facing courtyard
- town centre location

The desks are available for individual creative professionals working on desk-based activities (eg. graphic design, filmmaking, illustration, writing etc.)

The workspace is in the ground floor of the School Room, a recently converted building which now also houses an art room and 6 artist studios. We’re running a range of courses and community programmes at the art room, so there’s lots to get involved with.

- These are dedicated desks to rent, not hot-desks.
- Sorry, but the desks are not suitable for painters, sculptors, ceramicists or practice which generates noise, fumes, dust etc.

Thinking about drawing in its broadest sense, Kitty invites you to explore drawing through a variety of materials. Enjoy some space in your week to relax and recharge, or use the sessions to find starting points to stretch and stimulate your own creative practice.

Drawing with Clay. Working on flat tiles, coiling or pinching, use seed heads, dried flowers and other natural objects as tools.

Church Records is a journey into the heritage and social history of the former Penryn Methodist Church. As Art Centre Penryn gives the chapel a new lease of life, this exhibition explores the building’s origins and foundation as an important community place in the heart of Penryn.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Capturing the architectural as well as the more ephemeral qualities of memory, atmosphere and sound, the artist team have made a creative archive of the building and the people connected to it. This exhibition brings elements of the archive to life.
