Question: What do you get when you mix a room full of people from different sectors and roles across an island economy, and provide them with all the tools they need to create transformative innovation?
Answer: always more than you think!
Aside from a lot of fun, we were blown away by everyone’s willingness to collaborate and push beyond their understanding of innovation and how we all have important role to play if we want a regenerative, resilient future.
Alongside my fellow Nionn Horizons collaborators, Lucy Chapman and Charlotte Traynor, we covered a lot of ground: exploring global innovation trends and skills, deep dived into the Three Horizons framework and how to recognise types of innovation within the longterm vision of systems change, we rapid prototyped, discovered the voices of change and their dynamic - and so much more!
(And yes, the global polycrisis has now been officially re-named the disco ball of doom!)
Thank you so much to Earthscope Isle of Man for inviting us to run this session ‘Innovation and the Future of Work’ as part of the Unesco Biosphere Isle of Man Sustainable Mann series for businesses. We look forwards to seeing you all again soon at the graduation after-party!
