A follow on project from Rope & Flame saw this group get together for a series of workshops for adults called Umbrellas & Stools further details on that page for adults 18+. Some familiar faces reuniting and we welcomed five new participants too ! With artistic director of Firebrand Theatre Company Ellie Zeegan. Places available for movement on Sept 13 and Play in a Day on Oct 31.

Eastgate Theatre has offered Rope & Flame friends a 50% discount to tickets for Within This Dust which is being performed on Friday 4 September. This poetic-dance piece was developed in response to 9/11, blending movement, film, and real voices to explore loss, survival & humanity. Fraser apparently saw this work 14 years ago (!) and still remembers what a beautiful and powerful piece it was.

It is with great sadness we are sorry to report the passing of Chris Blagdon our Commissioner in Rope & Flame. Our thoughts and condolences are with his wife, Cathy and his wider friends and family. RIP Chris - you will be so missed.
