🎶 We’re delighted to be part of the Peebles High School Spring Concert! 🎶

We are thrilled to share that both our Senior Orchestra and Junior Orchestra will be performing in this year’s concert at Peebles High School.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our young musicians to showcase their hard work, commitment, and musical progress as part of a wider school community celebration of music.

Opportunities like this are so important in helping our players grow in confidence, develop their ensemble skills, and experience the joy of live performance.

We’re incredibly proud of everything they’ve achieved this term and can’t wait to see them shine on stage. ✨

🎻Orchestra for All 🎺

We’re happy to support Orchestra for All, an inclusive community music project run by Peebles Orchestra, and to share their post so our community can find out more.

Projects like this play an important role in encouraging people of all ages and backgrounds to make music together, and we’re always pleased to help spread the word about opportunities like this in Peebles.

🎶 Orchestra for All is coming up – and all really does mean all! 🎶

Orchestra for All with Peebles Orchestra is a relaxed, friendly and completely FREE music project. No auditions, no pressure, just making music together.

🎵 Open to:
• All ages
• All abilities: from beginners to experienced players
• All instruments: not just orchestral

It’s a short series of 4 rehearsals followed by a low-key concert, and you’re very welcome to take part or simply come and listen.

🎼 The concert is:
• FREE entry
• Informal and relaxed
• Perfect for children and first-time concert-goers

🎶✨ What a Year for Peebles String Orchestra ✨🎶

As we look back on this year, we’re filled with pride at just how much has been achieved together.

From first ensemble rehearsals to confident performances in incredible spaces, these moments capture what Peebles String Orchestra is all about: teamwork, commitment, kindness, and a shared love of music.

Our young musicians have grown in confidence, musicianship, and responsibility — supporting one another, listening, leading, and rising to every challenge put in front of them. None of this happens by accident.

Our friends at Peebles Orchestra are still on the lookout for string players to join them for a very special concert — A Night at the Musicals — this November with none other than InChorus, Peebles’ own internationally-travelled, high-energy community choir!

We’re delighted to announce that Peebles Orchestra will be performing this November with none other than InChorus — Peebles’ own internationally-travelled, high-energy community choir — for a spectacular show 'A Night at the Musicals’!

There will be two performances on Saturday the 15th of November at Peebles Burgh Hall — a matinee and an evening concert — offering a rare and thrilling chance to hear some of the greatest hits from stage and screen performed by exceptional local talent, accompanied by a full live orchestra. This unique collaboration has never happened before in Peebles!

Formed in 2008, InChorus has grown into one of the most distinctive and vibrant choirs in the Scottish Borders. Under the direction of their dynamic Musical Director, Au Arias , they’re known for their rich harmonies, infectious spirit, and a fresh, contemporary approach to choral singing — covering everything from pop and rock to soul, gospel, and beyond. With more than 50 voices, their performances are as visually uplifting as they are musically powerful.

InChorus has performed at major venues and festivals across the UK and Europe — including the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow, the Edinburgh Fringe, and even stages in New York and Barcelona. They are also deeply committed to community and charity work, raising thousands for good causes and bringing music to people wherever they go.

Whether it’s a flash mob in Princes Street Gardens or an intimate concert in their hometown, InChorus never fails to move and energise their audience.

This November, they’ll join forces with Peebles Orchestra under the baton of Ross Gunning for an unforgettable evening of music — blending the grandeur of orchestral sound with the passion and colour of modern choral performance.
