Hello! Welcome to Ark Art & Drama. This Group, originally in Stratford upon Avon has currently moved to All Things Wild in Honeybourne and has merged with The Fine Art Club Art Award group for 9-16 year olds (pm) and separate group 6-9 year olds (am). Awards sessions are held at the wonderful - All Things Wild, Honeybourne, WR117QZ. These are TRINITY Arts Award Discover, Explore Bronze, Silver Art sessions.
The older pm group is currently 8 students all ranging from 7-16. We are a happy group, have been going for a few years and are currently starting our art sessions with some warm up fun drama games- which they love.The drama is taught by Auckland Arts Award Tutor, professional actor and musician, BTech Level 3 Distinction in Acting. Shaun Gillians professional musician is also on hand to teach and eventually offer music tuition/ sessions. Each week in Art we study techniques, art movements and artists. Currently they are exploring journalling. This is a 6 week block of sessions (starting on 24/01/24 but can join after 24th) payable up front. The cost is £12 per student, all materials included and there is a sibling discount of £10 (two children £22). The group aims to encourage confidence, self esteem and skill set via regular gentle encouragement so that this becomes very natural - to take part, show work to the class if they want to, talk about their art, passions/art, work, hobbies and encorporate these ideas into their artwork. Anybody who doesn’t want to take part in the drama before art begins is very welcome to come along for this first half an hour, and join in by watching to enjoy the fun to see how it works, because often, after a while, they eventually join in. 😃👌 The morning Art group for 6-9 year olds is currently a smaller group and mums and dad's can join in to do the art work along side their young children. This is a pay as you go group, as we all know that getting younger children and even younger siblings out of the house on any given week is difficult enough without managing last minute colds and chilly days. The timing for this group is NOW 11.30am - 12.30. Each week we look at a different topics and artists; collage, drawing, painting, montage, Pop art, Van Gogh, hand printing, stencilling, sculpting. All materials provided. Cost is £10 per child. Sibling discount: Two children over 5 = £18. Three children over 5 = £26. There is a very reasonable home ed discounted entrance fee of £5 for any other siblings/ family members coming into All Things Wild on the day. So if you are arriving for a day out and want to wander around the adventure park before or after the art session it makes for a great day out. Art Awards: Entry Level (Entry 3) qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). It is the perfect stepping stone from our introductory award, Arts Award Discover, to the Level 1 qualification, Bronze Arts Award.
Anyone aged up to 25 can take part in Arts Award. Arts Award Explore is designed for ages 7 plus.
Young people taking the Explore Arts Award collect their arts experiences in an Explore arts log as they go along, recording what they find and enjoy. I help to take photos, record evidence and compile their work into a sketchbook/ folder and the Arts Award Log book which we submit to Trinity.
