On 22nd August, around 350 Rock Choir members from across Scotland came together in the stunning Perth Cathedral for our Summer Sessions and what a fun day it was! ❤️

Rock Choir Aberdeenshire • Choirs led by Rachael Watson taught the iconic “Feeling Good”, filling that beautiful cathedral with hundreds of voices singing together. 🎶

But there was another very special moment…

We recorded a beautiful piano version of “Somewhere Only We Know”, with Rock Choir Scotland • Choirs led by Rachel Leitch conducting and Rock Choir Scotland • Choirs led by Chris Duke on piano. 🥹🎹

🎶❤️ HOUSTON HELLO… AND HELLO TO A LOT MORE PEOPLE THAN USUAL! 😂

On 27th August 2026, Rock Choir popped along to Houston Hello to entertain everyone at this lovely weekly community café and music group for people living with dementia and those who support them. ☕️🎶

And WOW… what a turnout!

It was one of the biggest turnouts they’ve had, which obviously has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Rock Choir was there… 😉🎤

We clearly underestimated our popularity because they had to bring out several extra rows of chairs to fit everyone in! 😂🙌

There was lots of singing, smiling, clapping and, I’m pleased to say, plenty of joining in. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the music and sharing such a lovely afternoon together. ❤️

I went down to Newcastle Cathedral to support the Summer Sessions workshop. As well as Feeling Good, we recorded Next to Me, conducted by the amazing Rock Choir • Choirs led by Flo Glen and accompanied by Rock Choir North East • Choirs led by Rob Slater. It sounded gorgeous so I thought I'd give you a listen.

On 21st August 2026, Rock Choir had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Erskine Home for Veterans — and once again, we were reminded of just how powerful music can be.💃🕺🎶

Seeing the residents singing and dancing along with us and enjoying the music was such a joy. We might arrive thinking we’re there to entertain, but we always leave feeling like we’ve received just as much as we’ve given. ❤️

Our final Edinburgh Fringe gig on 9th August 2026 took us to George Street, right outside the fabulous Dome Hotel — and what a way to finish our day! 🎶✨

We entertained the Fringe crowds and passersby with plenty of our big, upbeat Rock Choir favourites, but this gig had an extra special purpose too. ❤️

We were raising money for Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity, and in just ONE HOUR our amazing audience donated a brilliant £322.51! 👏🎉

Every penny makes a difference, so a huge thank you to everyone who stopped, listened, clapped, sang along and popped some money in the collection. ❤️

I had THREE different choirs performing with me… although, in a spectacular failure of my photographic management skills, I only seem to have photos of TWO of them! 🤦‍♀️😂

I’ve added a couple of wee clips of Spaceman and I’ll Be There For You so you can get a flavour of the afternoon. 🎶🕺And that’s a wrap on our Edinburgh Fringe adventures for another year!

🎭🎤 ROCK CHOIR TAKES OVER THE FRINGE! 🎤🎭

9th August 2026 was our Rock Choir day at the Edinburgh Fringe — and we started with a bang at the fab Brewhemia! 🍻🎶

We had SO many Rockies singing that we quickly ran out of places to put them! 😂 Some were on the stage, others were spread all the way around the balcony, and plenty were down on the floor. Basically, there were Rockies everywhere! 🙌🎤

It honestly felt like the whole building was singing, so the atmosphere was incredible! ❤️We threw everything at the audience with loads of our big, upbeat favourites, and they went down an absolute treat. Plenty of singing, dancing, clapping and Fringe-style fun! 💃🕺🎶

But… we always like to sneak in one song from the archives.
And this year we decided it was time to resurrect Shallow. 🎶❤️
After all the big, bouncy numbers, hearing all the voices come together on those gorgeous harmonies was pretty special. 🥹
I’ve added a clip because honestly, this one sounded BEAUTIFUL! 🎤✨And this was only our first stop of the day…

☀️🎶 SUNSHINE, SINGING & AFTERNOON TEA! 🍰🎤

On 8th August 2026, Rock Choir was delighted to be part of the Sunshine Grace in Inverclyde Summer Spectacular — and what a lovely afternoon it was! ❤️

Sunshine Grace is a fantastic charity doing so much to support local people and families facing hardship, offering both practical and emotional support when it’s needed most. 💛

And what better way to bring everyone together than with music… and cake! 😂🍰☕️

We were treated to a delicious afternoon tea while helping to provide the entertainment, and thanks to everyone’s generosity, an incredible £1,100 was raised! 👏🎉

A huge well done to everyone involved in making the afternoon such a success.

Sunshine Grace in Inverclyde

🎶🏆 On 7th August 2026, Rock Choir were invited to provide the entertainment for an awards ceremony celebrating the fantastic teams at Enhance Scotland, Southview, Ardencraig and Greencross Care Homes. ❤️

But this wasn't your average awards ceremony… these care homes have been battling it out in a full-on league competition! 🏆🔥

Each home has its own domino team, quiz team and pool team, competing throughout the year to see who can claim bragging rights and, ultimately, the coveted awards! 🁢❓🎱

After all that serious competition, it was time to celebrate — and that's where Rock Choir came in! 🎶🥳

It was held at Cambuslang Institute, so it was lovely to be invited to a fantastic afternoon. Huge congratulations to everyone who took part.
