Our first time at BRITISH DANCE FESTIVAL and we were absolutely blown away by such an immaculately run event, insane talent, incredibly supportive judges, comperes who never seemed to tire and staff available at every turn to help us teachers.

Congratulations to all our dancers, you all achieved your personal bests this weekend and should be very proud of all your hard work and accomplishments 👏👏👏✨💜

Our youngest competitive dancer, Izabella, has had quite a week across 2 competitions, dancing in 3 different styles. At only 7 years old she has won both her Lyrical/contemporary and Street solos, whilst also being selected for a Junior Judges Choice award for her Jazz and Contemporary performances.

Talent is part of it, but more so, this young lady is incredibly focused and hard working in all of her classes in street, ballet, contemporary and jazz 💪🔥👏

We started 4 little companies this time last year, training specifically in Jazz and Contemporary. The aim was to build as strong in these styles as we have become in StreetDance styles.

Our very first event this weekend together was a dream come true for me as a principal, as we excelled as beginners in styles that I hold very close to my heart as a lifelong dancer.

Our company of dancers executed their routines with passion, precision and confidence. Representing exactly what it is to be a Groundswell Dancer, whilst having the best time with each other on and off of the dance floor.

I appreciate you all so much and thank you for going on this journey with me 🤍
