We had a fantastic turn out and lots of fun at our fundraiser quiz last night!

Thanks to all who came and helped us raise some money to support our next performance. 🎶

We agree! 😊

We already knew this, but here’s yet ANOTHER doctor telling the world that singing is brilliant for your health and wellbeing. Any activity that connects us with others is great, but it’s even better when it’s stimulating your brain and body at the same time!

Orpington Choirs singing together at Rochester Cathedral.

Members of the All Saints' Festival Choir were thrilled to join the All Saints Orpington Church Choir, as well as members of the Orpington Chorale to sing Evensong at Rochester Cathedral on Sunday 7th June.

Some lovely music was performed, including Faure's Cantique de Jean Racine and Stanford's Magnificat & Nunc Dimittis in B Flat.

We also enjoyed a delicious Italian lunch together before the rehearsal and service.

It's fantastic to see choral musicians from different choirs join together to represent Orpington's musical life at our Diocese Cathedral.

If this sounds like something you would like to do, please consider joining the choir - just send us a message.

Handel wrote Saul (1738) during a time when Italian opera in London was collapsing financially. So he pivoted to English oratorio—basically a strategic career reinvention.

He still had to compete with rival opera companies and fickle London audiences. As a result Saul is one of Handel’s most theatrical oratorios—it’s basically an opera in disguise (minus costumes).

The All Saints Festival Choir will not be in costume on June 11th… well, probably not. 😜

Come and see!

Did you know Handel conducted from the keyboard and was known for improvising wildly?

** This is definitely NOT how MD Jack Stone takes our rehearsals... Ever. Honest. **

But why not come along and check. 😜

ASFC are looking for new singers of all voice parts to join for Handel's Saul oratorio. Rehearsals on Tuesday evenings 8-10pm, performance 11th July.

What happens when a powerful king has a fragile ego that just can’t cope? Fighting, scandal, paranoia and questionable leadership choices... Sound familiar? 😜

Handel's Saul has it all!

We're welcoming new singers to join us on this journey into ancient history (...or is it?) for our summer concert.

There's even a Hallelujah Chorus. (But not THAT one, sorry.)

Get in touch if you're interested.
