Omagh Pride Omagh Pride 2026 | Saturday 13 June | ***rs | ✊🎉🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🐓 Omagh Pride was founded in 2021 when we hosted our first Pride event.

Following this success we are here to stay with our purpose being:

- To organise an annual Pride Parade in Omagh.
- To enhance the rights and wellbeing of of LGBTQ people in West Tyrone.
- To cultivate Q***r cultural expression.
- To increase visibility and representation for Q***r people in rural areas.
- To work in partnership with local statutory, community and voluntary organisations and

agencies to promote inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ Community and to enhance access to services.
- To show solidarity with LGBTQIA+ struggles everywhere. We are a group made of a small committee and many other volunteers who all come together to make our purpose happen. ‘Joyous portrait of Malaysian LGBTQ+ rebels making noise’ - The Guardian (UK)

In Malaysia, where LGBT identities face legal challenges, a q***r punk band, Shh…Diam! defy norms. They tour, perform, and protest, showcasing resilience, camaraderie, and the rebellious punk ethos amid societal constraints.

Watch the band playing in Sandino’s for Foyle Pride and the wedding of one of its band members to Omagh Pride co-founder, Cat Brogan, at Gortin Outdoor Activity Centre in September 2018 in this documentary film directed by Malaysian filmmaker, Yihwen Chen, that had its world premiere in the Forum section of the Berlinale International Film Festival 2025.

Terry and his partner Mike are deeply valued members of the LGBTQIA+ community in Omagh, and Terry played an important role in making Omagh Pride happen for several years.

We are appalled that Terry was refused entry back into the country, and we know both him and his husband are doing everything they can to reunite and spend their lives living together in the North West.

We appeal to the Home Office to resolve this issue as soon as possible so Terry can come home.
