Psalm 121:5–6 (NKJV)
“The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night.”

Fellow motorcyclists,

When we ride, we are exposed to the elements. We feel the heat of the sun, the cold of the night, the wind, the rain, and sometimes the hazards of the road. Unlike those enclosed in cars, we are constantly aware of our vulnerability.

That is what makes these verses so precious.

The Psalmist reminds us that the Lord is our Keeper. He is not a distant observer but a personal guardian. Just as a rider keeps watch over the road ahead, God watches over His people every moment of every day.

“The LORD is your shade at your right hand.” In the heat of the Middle Eastern sun, shade meant protection, relief, and preservation. God promises to be close enough to provide shelter when life’s pressures become intense. Whether the challenge is physical danger, family worries, financial concerns, or spiritual battles, He remains beside us.

“The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.” This is a picture of God’s constant care. Day and night, on bright roads and dark roads, in times of confidence and times of uncertainty, our heavenly Father never stops watching over His children.

As you put on your helmet and start your motorcycle today, remember this: your ultimate safety is not found in riding skill, protective clothing, or modern technology—important though those things are. Your greatest security is found in the Lord Jesus Christ, who keeps His people and never abandons them.

So ride wisely, ride thankfully, and ride with confidence, knowing that the Keeper of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for being our Keeper. Watch over every rider today. Protect us on the road, guide our decisions, strengthen our faith, and help us to trust in Your unfailing care. Amen. 🏍️✝️
