Hello Folks!

The summer term and extra summer sessions went really well. We covered techniques and water control, producing final pieces to take home.

If anyone fancies a little time.to themselves on a Monday afternoons before the school run or those who want to get into watercolour painting but would like a guide.

🍂🎃🐈‍⬛️New autumn term of workshops starting next Monday! With an Autuminal theme! 🍂🎃🐈‍⬛️

💰Price: £15 per person per session.

🎨🖌all materials included. Just turn up!

☕️ Bring your own drink. As there is no drinks making facilities in the studio.

📍Where: East Leake Leisure Centre in the Studio.

⚠️Important: Full payment is needed at time of booking to secure your spot. Also over 18s only as my insurance only covers adult learners.

If you can't make it or need to cancel the session if you do this BEFORE 48 hours before the class starts you can have a full refund. Or you can send someone else in your place.

🎨✨️Summer sessions ✨️ 🎨

Thank you so much to everyone in East Leake who has come along to the two weekend sessions so far. Lovely to see you all.

Only 2 summer sessions remain. The weekend ones have proven to be popular but there is an evening session and also a Wednesday session if you fancy dropping in while the kids are in a summer school or with the grandparents for a little relaxing you time!

🖌SUPER SKILLS SESSION🖌: Wednesday 26th August 1230-1400

(6 spaces available)

The super skills session is for those who really want to focus on the basic fundamentals of water control in watercolour painting. This session will focus on skills and drills rather than producing a final piece.

WIP

Little Eurasian Tree Sparrow on a dying Echinacea I need to paint the seeds on the flower heads.

currently on the UK Red List for birds. Their populations suffered a catastrophic 93% crash between 1970 and 2008 due to changes in farming practices, though they have shown small, encouraging signs of recovery recently.

As a primary granivore (seed-eater), the Eurasian tree sparrow feeds heavily on seeds throughout the autumn and winter. Once the colourful petals fall away and the distinctive cone centers dry out, they become packed with dense, nutritious seeds.

Leaving spent coneflower heads standing in the winter garden creates an excellent natural bird feeder for sparrows, finches, and goldfinches.

🎨 wow! These dip into watercolour sessions are doing so well! It is so amazing seeing everyone coming back! 🎨
