Three great opportunities for you to learn improv in 2026.
Nottingham Playhouse has been running 10 week courses in improv every term for four years. It's the longest continually running improv course in the East Midlands. Over a year ago this became twice weekly with a "Core Skills" session and an "Advanced Skills" group. The new term starts on Weds 14th January for the advanced group - if you have significant improv experience you can apply now (link in comments). If you are new to improv or only have a small amount of experience, the Core Skills group starts and on Friday 16th January.
Plus if you have ever wanted to make up songs on the spot, Musical Improv 101 from Little John Improv (in association with Rhymes Against Humanity)begins in February! Have the most fun learning how to make songs up in the moment and create improvised scenes that turn into show stopping numbers. The course starts Monday 2nd Feb and runs every Monday for six weeks.(link in comments)
