We fell into the exact trap we warn our clients about. 😬😬 We kept talking about what we do instead of the impact we actually create.

When we held a mirror up to our own positioning recently, we realised we were leaning on industry labels rather than describing the real-world transformation we deliver for our clients.

If your organisation is feeling like ‘one of many’ in a crowded market, it's usually a sign that your positioning needs strategic rigour, not just a cosmetic refresh.

“Can we make the logo bigger?”

It’s the oldest line in advertising, rooted in the idea that people won’t remember you unless you slap a badge over everything.

Except the strongest brands in the world are doing the complete opposite right now.

When Tesco , McDonald’s and Heinz strip their logos away, they aren’t being careless. They’re flexing serious brand equity.

By tapping into psychological closure, they turn passive scrolling into an interactive moment where the viewer completes the picture themselves.

The main takeaway – your logo shouldn’t be doing all the heavy lifting. Your colours, typography, and art direction should be so distinct that people know exactly who you are before you even say hello.
