A teeny, tiny peek of something new....

**Volume up!**

This is your early morning wake-up call!

Well, it's actually me reclaiming some clay. Unfired clay, which I no longer want to use, is added to water to rehydrate it. I whizz it up to remove the lumps and then remove it from the bucket and leave it to dry out on a plaster batt. Once dry, I wedge (knead) it back into usable clay and the making process starts all over again.

And now for something a little different from me. This semi-sphere wall hanging has been fired and is now waiting to be lavishly coated in a beautiful blue glaze called Nimbus. This glaze is especially nice as it has various shades of blue and also has an iridescent sheen which should highlight the design of this piece. Watch this space!

It's the first kiln firing of the month. I'm looking forward to seeing the urchins this morning and then I can glaze them, ready to fire again. Ceramic work is such a long process but it's definitely worth it!

Do you remember the vase I made last week with the indentations and spot detail? Well, this week I'll been adding a few more pieces to create a collection. It's always so satisfying to see a group of finished pieces and think, 'wow, I did that'.
