Lochnell 8–1 Harmony Row

Stunning pitch, sensational performance.

Lochnell marked our first home game in the PJDYFL Division 3 with a fantastic 8–1 victory over Harmony Row.

The boys were excellent from start to finish, showing great energy, determination and teamwork. Gabriel was outstanding, scoring a hat-trick and deservedly being named Man of the Match. Dylan added two goals, with Cody and James also getting on the scoresheet, along with an own goal.

A brilliant team performance from everyone involved and a fantastic way to mark our first home fixture.

A massive thank you to Taynuilt Sports Council for their ongoing support and for providing us with such a stunning facility. It was fantastic to finally get the boys out playing their first home game on such a great pitch.

A huge thank you to Ronnie, Danny, Mark and the rest of the coaching team for all their hard work getting the goals ready.

And a special mention to Norman, who put in a huge amount of time and effort over multiple days/nights to get the goals built and make today possible. Your commitment behind the scenes is hugely appreciated. 👏

The new season finally got under way this evening, after a bit of a false start last week (rain postponement). It was great to see so many kids back in action and having fun. Here’s to season 26/27!

Match Report – Erskine Utd 0–2 Lochnell

PJDYFL Division 3 – Lochnell’s First League Match

What a start to life in the PJDYFL! Lochnell got their Division 3 campaign off to a fantastic start with a 2–0 victory away to Erskine Utd.

The boys showed great character from the first whistle, working hard for each other and competing for every ball. It was a real team performance, with everyone contributing and showing a fantastic attitude throughout the game.

Goals: DJ ⚽ and Dylan ⚽

The clean sheet was just as important as the goals, with the boys defending really well and working tirelessly as a unit.

A special mention to Cody, who was named the coaches’ Man of the Match after another excellent all-round performance. 🏆

A brilliant way to begin our PJDYFL journey — three points, a clean sheet and a great team effort.

⚽️ Glasgow Cup 2026 – What a weekend! 🏆

What a brilliant weekend for the Lochnell 2011s at the Glasgow Cup! 💙💛

Playing against some excellent teams was always going to be a tough challenge, but the boys more than held their own and put in some fantastic performances. Some great results, plenty of goals and, most importantly, loads of effort, teamwork and determination throughout.

A massive well done to every player for the way they represented Lochnell FC – on and off the pitch. There was a wee bit of madness along the way, but nothing major, and their overall behaviour and conduct was a real credit to themselves, their parents and the club.

A huge thank you to all the parents for their support, encouragement and everything they’ve done to make the weekend possible. ❤️

Special thanks as well to Norman for the cinema trip and Stewart for the pizza – both were hugely appreciated by the boys and made the weekend even more memorable! 🙌

And finally, a massive thank you to Jim and everyone involved in organising the Glasgow Cup. It’s been a fantastic experience for the boys and one they’ll remember for a long time.

A massive thank you to everyone who supported our Lochnell 2011s bag packing fundraiser at Tesco Oban today. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our local community, we raised an outstanding £462.96 towards our Glasgow Cup trip.

Thanks to the boys, who represented the club with smiles, enthusiasm and excellent manners throughout the day. A huge thank you also goes to all of the parents who volunteered their time and helped make the day run so smoothly.

Finally, thank you to Oban Tesco for welcoming us and giving us the opportunity to raise these vital funds.

The support this team continues to receive from our community is truly appreciated. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps give the boys the chance to create more unforgettable memories together.

⚽️ That’s a wrap for the 2025/26 season! 🔵🟡

Our final training game brought another fantastic season to a close, with plenty of smiles, great football and a chance to celebrate together one last time before the summer break.

We also caught up with some of the players who couldn’t make our Awards Night, presenting them with their AIYFA League winners’ medals. Every single player has played their part in a brilliant league-winning campaign, and it was great to see everyone recognised for their efforts.

A massive thank you to all of our players for their commitment and hard work throughout the season, to our coaches and volunteers for everything they do behind the scenes, and to our parents and supporters who have backed the team every step of the way.

Enjoy a well-earned break, and we’ll be back soon, refreshed and ready for another exciting season. 💙💛

It’s a massive few days for our 2014s as they prepare to finish their primary school journeys. We’ve loved having them and appreciate the contribution they’ve made to our club. We wish them all the very best in what’s to come 😊.

We are also saying farewell to coaches David and DJ who have been nothing short of brilliant over the years. Thanks lads 👏👏👏
