They have been doing a lot of work along the side of the roads where I live and we have so many poppies along the verge. It’s just awash with reds and I’m absolutely here for it.

A mixture of mainly on .com.au colour fix pastel mat.

A6 hand painted greetings cards blank inside. £3 each or 4 for £10 - come with envelopes.

Reference vs art… these flowers have been on my coffee table bringing me so much joy the last week. I have painted them a few times and think I will paint them again. How are we feeling about the brights. I personally adore them. Cobalt turquoise is my favourite paint colour as it’s just striking and gorgeous but next to pink!!! Heaven! 😂. Painted on Mi Teintes Touch paper in mostly

A beautiful afternoon spent in some woodland close to me filled me with inspiration, that dappled light and soft blue and purple hues. This painting was entered into The Rope walk and sadly didn’t get in, but I think it’s for the best as now she can hang on my wall a while and take me back to that warm afternoon dancing in the flowers.

Loose watercolour roses… I was actually painting peonies but there you go. Sometimes the art that you get isn’t what you planned. But it’s still a wonderful experience and an enlightening outcome. A little like life lately.
