Sometimes the weirdest things happen… today I felt a pull to paint from an old photo that I had painted before. I just felt a pull to paint it again… then just this evening this comes up on my FB memories. It was actually 4 years ago today that I painted this painting. So here we are same reference, different sketchbooks 4 years apart!

Loving experimenting with oil pastels this week. I have never used them before and so it’s a completely new medium for me. I will say it’s not love at first sight like my soft pastels but they are very fun to play with.

They have been doing a lot of work along the side of the roads where I live and we have so many poppies along the verge....
