Coming all the way from Liverpool, Little Wars are joining us onstage at Queen’s Student Union as part of their 3-night Irish tour. The band, just off the back of the release of their recent single, ‘Where do the colours all go?’, showcase a unique rock/grunge blend in their original music. They are a recurring face in the local scene in Liverpool, and we’re buzzing to have them here for a one-night-only showcase of extraordinary up and coming local music! Their sound being described as “trashy, full throttle 90’s nostalgia and effortlessly emotional”, & “the
lovechild of The Smashing Pumpkins & Thin Lizzy,” HOUSEMATES are a three-piece band from Galway that combines their love of 90’s alternative with modern themes, cutting through the noise of a new wave of heavy alternative music on the west coast. Named after a decision to move from Dublin to Galway, the band has spent the last three years garnering a cultish following in the wake of their “electric” live shows. Not an act to be missed, come see them on Friday open for little wars at QSU!

The boys in the band are only 15, but are already making waves in the local scene! Alchemie, an up and coming rock outfit from Belfast, will be performing onstage at the Union this Friday supporting Little Wars on their Ireland tour. They have been played on BBC radio, are lined up for shows across the country, including one at HMV in Dublin very soon, and are currently gearing up to release their second single. They’re an exciting local act that you don't want to miss, so make sure you’ve got your ticket!

The second act up this Friday night is Jetvaine. Also hailing from Newry, they bring a massive grungy sound to the stage wherever they perform that is met with an equally massive response from the crowd. After reaching the final of Yewtree's recent battle of the bands, they have been on a roll playing gigs and recently had their Belfast debut, winning their heat in SONI's battle of the bands at the Pavillion. Their music is not to be missed. Make sure to get down on Friday to see them!
