Cornwall Youth Theatre has been running since 1984, touring shows across Cornwall with young people aged 12 to 22 years.

New season Announcement!

Are you in to theatre and performance?

Do you want to learn new skills and work with industry professionals?

Do you want to meet likeminded people and have fun?

Join us this Autumn for three theatre skills sessions led by professionals working in the creative industry right here in Cornwall. We’d love to welcome new members to our new season of work which runs from Sept to March/May. We’re touring two shows in 2027!

New Season Announcement!

We’re so excited to announce our new season starts on Sunday 27th Sept from 11am to 3pm.

If you’re interested in theatre and performance and want to be part of a show which tours across Cornwall next March or May then get the above dates in the diary.

We’re happy for potential new members to come and try our skills sessions for Free to see if we’re the right fit for you before you pay your fees for the season.

Another of our wonderful long standing members leaving us this season is Esmond. He's been with us since we restarted after Covid in 2022 and has been in Lord of the Flies, in 2023, Cornish Tales in 2024, A Midsummer Night's Dream in 2025 and last season he was in The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Esmond also got involved in the Another Darke Night summer project, which happened at Penlee Park Open Air Theatre in June 2025.

Esmond is trying pastures new and is currently working with Miracle Theatre Young Company and is doing movement and performance activity with Shallal.

We'll miss you Esmond. It's been amazing having you as part of our company for the last four seasons.

Another of our long standing members, Ophelia is leaving us this season to continue her performing journey at Bristol Institute of Performing Arts - BIPA. Last season Ophelia supported us with warm ups and morale on both our show tours and before that was with us for three years, and involved in four shows, Lord of the Flies in 2022 to 2023, Cornish Tales, where she was in two shows in 2023 to 2024 and A Midsummer Night's Dream in 2024 to 2025. She was also involved in the Hope for Cornwall audio project in Autumn 2024.

We're so excited to see what Ophelia gets up to in her future. We're sure her talent will take her far.

We'll miss you Ophelia, come back and see us soon.
