We are sorry for the radio silence for the last few months.

Carnival has always been dedicated to ensuring we produce theatre that is of a high standard and offers something new to our audiences. Since we started in 2017 we have produced four shows, two of which have been adaptations of classic stories and two that have been original works with one of these being award-winning.

As we move forward we must ensure that Carnival is always progressing and not merely
retreading old ground. We want to carefully assess our next steps and what it is we want to achieve.

That is why we have taken the difficult decision to indefinitely postpone our planned Autumn production of Beauty and the Beast and take a hiatus from producing until we are ready to return to the stage.

Carnival founder Franklyn Jacks would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every artist who has helped to realise Carnival’s shows over the last few years as well as the audiences who came to see us.

We hope to return when we feel the time is right. Until then - never stop dreaming and imagining.

A lovely surprise - our debut production - The Looking Glass has been nominated for Best Children's Performance as part of Scenesaver's Birthday Honours Awards.

We are delighted by this news and continue to be very proud of the team's efforts in realising our vision of Wonderland.

Carnival of Eternal Light is looking to expand their production team this year. We want to network with as many artists as possible. If you’re a production artist based in the North West of England then we would love to hear from you. We are currently looking to fill the following areas:

Set Designer
Stage Manager
Deputy General Manager
Theatre Business Operations Manager
Head of Marketing
Makeup Artists

These positions are voluntary positions. Paid work is always the main goal. As much as we are looking to progress forward and reach that target of being able to offer a wage we are still in the mode of working with people who would like to collaborate with us in their spare time. Jobs and auditions will always come first and we will work around your availability. If you have the potential for other positions which are paying then these are positions you must take instead of ours. We can offer a percentage of the box office from our shows which we split among the cast and crew. As a growing theatre company we wish things were different but this is where we currently are.

In 2017 Carnival produced its first show - The Looking Glass - based on the classic novels Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.

This production was a magical one, our cast and crew ensuring we created a fantastical adventure for our audiences. We are thrilled to say that this adventure will continue. The Looking Glass is now available to stream on the Scenesaver platform.

The inspiration for a fourth Christmas spirit was something we wanted to explore in our re-telling of this classic festive story.

And so one of Scrooge's housing tenants was in fact a ghost who was plotting Scrooge's journey to redemption all along.

Our magical re - telling of A Christmas Carol has been our most successful show so far.

Kieran has appeared in many stage shows and has also produced and directed his own work. Kieran has appeared in productions including Nowhere at the Hope Mill Theatre, Black Tears and has just recently appeared in Masquerade Theatre's production of Kes in Malta.
