Bill Baumes was a genuinely great person. He was so kind to me. He treated me with a gentle presence in that whirlwind of a newly minted bubble of fame. Thank you. Rest in peace.

Wilford Lloyd Baumes, the creator of 'The Love Boat' and the producer of 'Wonder Woman,' has died at 86. To the love of my life, on Father’s Day. This May 23, more than 100 of Robert Altman’s friends, colleagues, and family joined me at The Inn at Little Washington, not to mourn him, but to pay tribute.

As I listened to all the stories of a legendary man, my heart soared with love…for a husband who touched so many.

Rob… you gave so much of yourself while you were here…to the people you know, to the people you love...to the people who knew you, to the people who still need you. That you did not die, that you can never die, there’s too much, too much of you that remains here with me, with us - and that is the love.

Our National Pride Gala celebrated progress and the work ahead. In addition to honoring and hosting Lisa Rinna, Harry Hamlin, Jacob Tierney, Lynda Carter, and Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, we raised more than $900,000 to elect pro-equality champions to Congress.
