Learning Through Theatre specialises in Commedia dell'Arte, comedy and physical theatre, providing workshops in schools and colleges nationwide. We run regular professional development workshops and often tailor make workshops for student groups and teacher CPD. We are currently touring with a Commedia del'Arte show-workshop education package. Our customers say:

"Excellent workshops ... Actively

exciting for our students and all have taken something to help them further throughout their studies. Students are able to refer to stock characters with ease and are showing meaningful understanding of their character traits." Warren, Burford School)

“The children were fully engaged and enjoyed the workshop and performance immensely… A really excellent workshop. The perfect balance between watching and learning. It was also great that you all seemed to have such good control of a large number of children”
(A. Standen McDougall, Beaudesert Park School)

“I have never (truly) seen such a positive response from across a whole year group – all of the groups came back buzzing about the workshop and how good Cheryl was” (L. Pugsley, Head of Lower School, Haileybury)

🎭 Happy World Commedia dell’Arte Day 🎭
Today we honour those who have gone before and those who keep Commedia alive and vibrant for generations to come.
🥂Cheers and heartfelt thanks to the original acting troupes of the 16th century who laid the foundations for ensemble-based, actor-centred devising developing a treasure chest of transferable techniques and skills that we use endlessly today.
