Timelapse video of our Wedneday evening class. This week we turned out coiled pots, covered the basics of glazing our bisqueware, and learned techniques in finishing our sculpted heads.
Here’s a memory I‘d like to share with you. A few years back, I went to Fablab in Sunderland to see what I could see and ended up participating in a Makerthon, where a 3D scan of one of my busts was printed as part of “Flip Your Wig”. You’ll see what I mean if you watch the vid.

This week everyone used slabs prepared in the last class to build a vessel. Much enjoyment was had spending time decorating the pots by carving, stamping and pressing objects into the slabs before and after assembly.

Hi everyone, all the pieces from the taster sessions are now fired and available for collection. Deadline for collection is 14th February. Sadly, we don’t have enough storage to hang on to them after that. Please get in touch to arrange collection.
At the risk of repeating ourselves (excuse us, we’re excited), we had our first ever class this week, and Andy and Alan very much enjoyed it. What made it extra special was that it's a lovely group of people who are keen to learn, hard working, and up for a laugh.

We have our final taster session this Saturday. Smashing Ceramics classes will commence week ending 24th January for ten weeks. We're starting with four sessions per week as follows:-
Tuesday 1pm~4pm (Sculpting a Believable Head)
Wednesday 6pm~9pm (Ceramics)
Thursday 1pm~4pm (Ceramics)
Saturday 10am~1pm (Ceramics)
Anyone already signed up to a class will hear from me via email/phone in the coming days.
It isn't too late for those of you who haven't managed to get down to a taster session to sign up. Introductory price for a ten-week block is £200.
